But let's be real: it's not just about the number of years you've clocked in. It's about what you've done with that time. Think of your career like a garden. Sure, you can brag about how long you've tended it, but the real beauty lies in the flowers you've grown, the challenges you've overcome, and the lessons you've learned along the way. Those are the things that truly matter. Every day at work is a chance to learn something new. You've probably faced some big challenges, celebrated some huge wins, and worked with all sorts of amazing people. That's the stuff that makes you who you are professionally. So, next time you're thinking about your work anniversary, don't just count the years. Take a moment to appreciate the incredible journey you've been on. And remember, the best way to celebrate is to share your knowledge and experiences with others. You never know who you might inspire. What do you think? “Wow, you really stepped out of your comfort zone!” – said by a former colleague I hadn’t seen in 18-months. It didn’t seem so scary when I said ‘yes!’ to the new job a year ago, but once I was in it, it was really, really hard. The work was exciting, and the team was filled with smart, talented, fun-to-work-with-people. So, why was it so hard? For the first time in a long time, I didn’t know the answers right away, or which contributions would add value in meetings, or even who to call when I needed to phone a friend for help. I call these times in my career “seasons” – those growth periods that bring big change as well as improvements month-over-month until one day – you know who to call for help and/or past expertise collides with new expertise in a way that you can take the work to the NEXT LEVEL. 🚀 Today I'm celebrating my 1-year anniversary (🍾) and sharing a few personal lessons from this season. 💫 Invest in your network – regardless of where you are in your career, these authentic connections will carry you through. 💫 Learn when it’s time to say ‘yes’ to your next role – to know me, is to know that I LOVED my previous role, but the reality is, I should have stepped out of my comfort zone sooner. 💫 Recognize that the journey will take time – much like the hike in the photo, the path out of the canyon had a lot of ups and downs, switchbacks, and rocky terrain. 🫠 Breaking the climb down into manageable distances, assessing the terrain in the next section, and taking rest breaks led to the overall goal. Thanks for joining me on this journey. 🫶It turned out even better than I hoped it would – and that’s pretty awesome.

The responsibilities of a mom often include providing physical care, emotional support, and guidance to ensure the well-being and development of her children. __________________________________________________________ The concept of motherhood varies widely across different cultures and societies, but universally, mothers are often seen as primary caregivers and central figures in family life. Their roles can encompass various aspects such as: Physical Care: Ensuring the child is fed, clothed, and healthy. Emotional Support: Providing love, comfort, and security. Education: Teaching children social norms, values, and skills. Guidance: Helping children navigate life's challenges and make decisions. Motherhood is also a deeply personal and emotional experience, shaping the lives of both the mother and her children. The bond between a mother and her child is typically profound, influencing the child's development and the mother's sense of identity and fulfillment.

Life really is a journey for everyone. Each person's path is distinct, marked by different challenges, opportunities, and relationships. This individuality is what makes life rich and varied, offering a tapestry of stories that highlight the diverse nature of human existence. Being grateful for what we have is crucial in this journey because it fosters a positive mindset and helps us focus on the good aspects of our lives, no matter how small they may seem. Gratitude can also act as a buffer against life's inevitable difficulties, providing us with the resilience to cope with adversity. When we express gratitude, we acknowledge that life, despite its ups and downs, offers us many gifts. This recognition can lead to greater contentment and fulfillment. It reminds us that our journey, while unique, is also interconnected with the journeys of others, creating a sense of community and shared human experience. In essence, while life is an individual journey for everyone, gratitude serves as a universal connector, enriching our personal experiences and fostering a deeper appreciation for the world and people around us. It reminds us to cherish the present, value our individuality, and recognize the beauty in our unique paths.
