HR Manager | Leveraging AI & Generative AI to Drive Talent Acquisition & Retention | Strategic Leader with Tech-Savvy Insights
The future of artificial intelligence is rapidly evolving, with former Google CEO Eric Schmidt predicting transformative changes in the next year or two. At a recent Stanford University conference, Schmidt outlined three key developments: massive context windows allowing AI to process vast amounts of information, AI agents capable of learning and applying knowledge, and text-to-action capabilities enabling AI to execute complex tasks. These advancements, Schmidt argues, will have far-reaching implications for industries, national security, and society at large. The race for AI supremacy is intensifying, with the United States and China emerging as the primary contenders. Schmidt emphasizes the critical need for substantial investments in AI research and development, estimating that frontier models may require up to $300 billion in funding. This financial arms race is reshaping the tech landscape, with companies like Nvidia experiencing unprecedented growth due to their dominance in AI chip technology. Schmidt also addresses concerns about AI's impact on the job market, suggesting that while high-skill tasks may be augmented by AI, lower-skill jobs face a higher risk of automation. He advocates for a balanced approach to AI regulation, emphasizing the importance of maintaining technological leadership while addressing potential risks. The discussion touched on the challenges of misinformation in the age of AI, with Schmidt expressing concern about the potential for AI-generated content to further erode trust in democratic societies. He calls for innovative solutions, including improved critical thinking skills and potential regulatory measures to combat the spread of false information. https://lnkd.in/g8XzEqGe #ericschmidt #ai #artificialintelligence #aiagents #nvidia #google #aisupremacy

Even with the release of Google's Gemni 1.5 Pro, some people are still complaining about Google's stand on the AI revolution. However, I have a different perspective. We are still in the early stages of the game, despite the advancements we have seen in AI. (Even now we're getting stunned by what these models can do) As a believer in AI, I cannot even begin to imagine what the world will look like in 10 years. But, it is equally important to stay put when needed, as it is to stay ahead of the game. This is where generational changes are made. I do not believe that Google is falling behind. Instead, they are shadowing and have the right arsenal at their disposal. It's only a matter of time before they decide to take on the AI market. Google is not falling behind, but rather taking their time to make the right move. #AI #Google #Gemni1.5Pro #Technology
