Eric Savitz’s Post

As I wrote in my latest - and final - Tech Trader column, no one has more experience leaving Barron’s than I do. It’s been five years since I rejoined Barron’s for the third time. Overall, I’ve now spent 24 years at the world's finest investing publication in three separate stretches, spanning parts of five decades. I wrote my first Barron’s story in October 1988, more than 35 years ago. It's been a fantastic ride. And now it’s time for a new adventure. I’ll post the details in a few weeks.

Few people have more experience than you at this game, period. You’re a marvel of the prolific takes and your wide ranging curiosity that has already taken you this far will continue to propel you forward. I’m hoping your next chapter involves flying copilot with your son or getting to visit all the baseball fields you haven’t been to by following the Phillies around the US.

You're starting to give my resume competition for "most career shifts." Change keeps you young, my friend. Can't wait to see where you go... THIS time.

I’m glad we got you back there for a second run! Congrats and good luck on your next adventure.

Insightful journalist .....and a person of his word when it comes to confidentiality and being "off the record". Rare combo. Thanks for all your years, Eric.

Good luck Eric! Third time will be the charm for sure!

Spot on farewell column, Eric. Congrats on 40 years covering tech! So glad we got to work together while you took a break from Barron's :)

If you are happy, I am happy and hard to know what the loss is as I don't know where you are going ! But what I can say is that in your capacity as a kick ass editor and reporter at Barrons you are going to be missed. I have always enjoyed working with you and have huge respect for your deep knowledge of the industry that you write and report on. Your approach to executives is admirable, always prepared, always humble but tough and never asking the obvious questions. Looking forward to hearing what is next for you, a wonderful human !

What??? All I can say is those written words of wisdom and insight had best still be cast out into the world! Your fan base eagerly awaits more news !
