Madsen Arts Centre is just a bit different. 1. We do not exclude adult dancers from regular classes. Levels Intermediate Foundation through Advanced 2 are open to minimum age of 11 and through to 106! If you have the ability and desire, we will teach you. 2. We cap our younger classes at 12 students and our older classes at 15. We want to give every student the attention and feedback they need and deserve. This cannot be accomplished in large classes. Someone is inevitably left behind. 3. We are focused on teaining. Our classes are not choreography or exam syllabus classes. They are set up to tearing every student and offer the modifications and challenges needed to help every student gain a deeper understanding of the technique and strength needed. Not every student dances to compete, perform or enter exams, but every student deserves the best training possible, whether they dance once a week or many hours. 4. Because of our class structure, exams and competitions are not mandatory. These are extra and outside of the regular class schedule so that it is available to those who want to pursue those options. Want to know more? Come to a free class on Wednesday, June 26! Pre-register to guarantee a spot. Classes are by age group, not ability. We can help everyone! https://lnkd.in/gjqRA2EC

To this day, the following quote is still one of my favourite quotes as an educator and a mother. It is the epitome of our values, vision and mission here at BTR Performing Arts Academy 🥰 A child is like a butterfly in the wind. Some can fly higher than others, but each one flies the best it can. Why compare one against the other? Each one is different, each one is special, each one is beautiful. #btrperformingartsacademy#btr#kindermusik#mondaymotivation#believe#transform#rise

Deadline 2025 is upon us. What is it? It is the date at which the combination of dying magnetic media and the long outdated and ageing equipment capable of reading it jointly shut the door in being able to capture history on magnetic media any more. End of the recovery of much of the events, performances, records of the second half of the 29th Century? History matters This evening a Society of Archivists meet in ACMI to mark this sad day. I will be contributing reporting succinctly on one of the few major successes in meeting this deadline with 210gb of high quality original performances of classical music performances from that era with complete documentation: all done totally at zero cost to anyone but private individuals(stage1 only is at https://lnkd.in/dw3_8_aR) An occasion for celebration? No: not a single University of State Library has expressed any interest at all in hosting this (largely publicly accessible) collection..no HASS library or archival funding has bothered to even look at this type of immediately usable and playable resource-even Conservatoriums of Music! I have posted separately on how the myopic LLMs ( https://lnkd.in/gzuv34qn) currently simply can’t sensibly handle pre 21c events and hallucinate over them! Do we understand the significance of history? Even outstanding performances of music, playable again in such collections, are even dismissed as “having a half life”! Yes I have this on record! Even in recent years I’d be reluctant to dismiss Daniel Barenboim and Jacquiline Du Pre performances so cavalierly (yes I heard them live in 20c) I also conserve my treasured vinyl LPs/EPs/singles (and my vast computer floppies!) but they too are fading Time to digitise and keep on RAID5 servers on an update cycle for them all(yes of course I have done so)and to think carefully about stabilising any long term cloud holdings as well Hail and Farewell to the Deadline 2025 and the dying of the light(or maybe sound-its not only mag tapes!) https://lnkd.in/gYwY6gGV is at https://lnkd.in/gU9xWwur)

Today is World Teachers’ Day—recognized since 1994 to, UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization) describes, “celebrate how teachers are transforming education but also to reflect on the support they need to fully deploy their talent and vocation, and to rethink the way ahead for the profession globally.” According to UNESCO: “The 2024 celebrations will focus on 'Valuing teacher voices: towards a new social contract for education,' underscoring the urgency of calling for and attending to teachers' voices to address their challenges but, most importantly, to acknowledge and benefit from the expert knowledge and input that they bring to education.” Learn more: https://lnkd.in/gxJ--xMF NAfME remains committed to advocating for the music education profession at the federal, state, and local levels, and we encourage you to join us in the work: nafme.org/advocacy

I am posting each track individually from my collaborative album with David Mackenzie - MonoMyth Music Volume 1 - so that I can highlight and present some of the techniques used in each piece. Hit the link below and have a listen. Any feedback is greatly appreciated! Track 1 - Seven rotations Live recording - The tide coming in along Cornwall's coastline Isochronic Tones - Isochronic tones are a fast and effective audio-based way to stimulate your brain. Among many of the benefits, they can help improve focus, relaxation, energy levels, sleep and more, without taking drugs or needing any special equipment. Hidden subliminal messages - positive messaging that slips past your mental radar and embeds deep into your subconscious mind Dominant frequency - The Schumann Resonance (7.83hz) - The extremely low frequency portion of the Earth's electromagnetic field spectrum It has been shown through scientific experiments that attunement with the planet's own natural frequency of 7.83Hz allows people to experience benefits such as enhanced learning/memory, cellular rejuvenation, energetic balance, reduced stress, grounding, and deep relaxation.
