Let’s face another uncomfortable truth: Also in the start-up landscape, women are still significantly underrepresented. A study by Boston Consulting Group and SISTA reveals: 👉 Only 10% of all newly founded start-ups in Europe were founded by women. 👉 Only 7% of start-ups in finance rounds were women-led. 👉 And only 2% of those securing capital were led by women. These numbers underscore a pressing issue in our entrepreneurial landscape. The #EITCommunity is committed to closing this gap, with initiatives that have increased the proportion of women-led start-ups in their portfolio to an impressive 25%. Everyone can play a role in standing up for equal opportunities. international women's day is important to people like me in tech: the stats. - one in four startups have a female founder - 11% of investing partners at VCs are women - 13% of VC dollars go to startups with a woman founder - median earnings of women in STEM are 74% compared to that of men thankful for the great women that i work with at Codat, and other inspiring women i've crossed paths with. and ultimately looking ahead to an equitable future - happy international women's day!

Happy International Women's Day! As someone who now works in the tech field, it is great to see female tech founders out there making a difference. However, as Anne Fredriksson BSN, MS states here in her post below, only 15% of tech founders are female and they are underrepresented in startup founding roles. However, it is important to acknowledge that while technology can be a powerful tool for women empowerment, it is not a solution on its own. Efforts must be made to bridge the digital gender divide, improve access to technology, and ensure inclusivity in its development and use.
