With technology advancements moving faster than we can keep up, career days have become so crucial in my view for providing students with the range of opportunities at their disposal. As a teacher, I saw firsthand how these events opened up students' eyes to the wide range of career possibilities available to them. I teamed up with SITAL College for a series of Career Days that gave students a chance to explore different occupations and connect their classroom learning to the real world of work. As a professional I was able to share insights about their possible careers and the education/training needed to succeed. For many students at these sessions it was clear that it was their first exposure to careers and education requirements they may not have considered before. Every secondary school in the Caribbean should host a Career Day. It's a powerful way to nurture career exploration, give students a first-hand look at different occupations, and skills they need to develop to get them where they wish to go. The earlier students start thinking about their future careers, the better prepared they'll be to make informed decisions.

Clinical Research | Digital Innovation | AI | Scientific Affairs | eClinical | Health Data | Decentralized Clinical Trials | CRAACO | Tokenization | Drug Development
🧙♂️ 📢 I suppose that those who know me are aware of my interest in eClinical solutions and AI but they may not be aware that I have a very strong interest in helping people join our industry. 👨🎓 👩🎓 I not only helped create 5 clinical research diplomas 📜 at the Université Paris Cité but I have also mentored more than 300 “padawans” and “apprentices” to help them get recruited by our industry. I also work with the French Associations of CROs (AFCROs) were I started a working group on employment and careers which led to the creation by the European CRO Fedaration (EUCROF) of a Talent Engagement Task Force. The webinar below is the result of our work at EUCROF. The ultimate goal to ensure that our jobs get a the mech needed visibility🔎is the creation of a “clinical research professional status” in France and in Europe. I do believe that this could lead to the creation of a European Association of Clinical Research Professionals. I still have 7 years before retirement so I think this is achievable! 🍾 #EUCROF #AFCROs #CLINICALRESEARCH #EMPLOYMENT

That's a wrap for this summer's Intern/E&P Connection Mixer events! We are prepping to bring back out Topic Series Events!! Here are a few key takeaways from this summer: - Bright Future: We met many bright young students ready to take on challenges, tackle fieldwork, solve problems, and wear many hats as they enter the workforce. - Company Presence: Companies should reevaluate their presence at schools. Focus on what's impactful, build relationships with schools and students, and provide more opportunities for industry exposure. - University Visits: Don't just settle for an hour-long company advertisement. Offer more substance and discussions that highlight the industry and various career paths. - Connecting with Interns: Our industry needs to improve efforts in connecting with the next generation and making them feel welcome. Even interns can feel isolated, and we need to address that. - Dinner Discussions: The dinners in Houston and OKC were the highlights. Extending our events to include dinner with interns allowed us to share invaluable stories, insights, and takeaways. We look forward to continuing to build the bridge between current professionals and the next generation! #futureofenergy #nextgeneration #petroleumengineers #oilgas #oilandgasindustry

The #nonetloss Wikipedia article I created during my internship with ICCS can be found on English Wikipedia's main page today: https://lnkd.in/dpQ_8Jj7 ! 🌐 🌄 In recent years, no net loss (NNL) policies have been adopted by an increasing number of countries across the globe. According to a 2018 paper by Bull and Strange, the number stands at least 69 countries. Ensuring that the global extent of this #biodiversity policy and its expansion beyond its US wetland origins in the 1970s was represented on Wikipedia therefore became an important goal for my internship. 🌍 📈 This motivated me to create the article as a global overview of NNL policy with examples from across 5 continents, while renaming the existing article on the origins of NNL policy in the US wetland context and its subsequent development there from 'No net loss wetlands policy' to 'No net loss policy in the United States'. By creating the article, I was able to gain a lot of insight into NNL policy, but also to learn about its relationship with approaches like #netpositiveimpact and #netgain! You can read the article here: https://lnkd.in/dVE7G6yd 🌐 🦆
