Minister of Finance II

I am a firm believer that the main success factor in any collaborative effort is a shared purpose that resonates across the board. At the 3rd Government-Linked Entities Activation and Reform Programme (GEAR-uP) Roundtable, it was clear that the shared purpose of nation building steered the conversation to drive collaboration across the seven organisations trailblazing this pioneering stage of GEAR-uP. PETRONAS and our six Government-Linked Investment Companies (GLIC) have each committed to champion selected initiatives, and work together with one another on a range of other initiatives to support the Ekonomi MADANI agenda, pulling together their collective resources and influence as a catalyst for economic growth. I am encouraged by the discussions today, and pleased with the clarity of what each organization will drive: Championing Energy Transition by PETRONAS ; Transforming Malaysian Firms by Khazanah Nasional Berhad; Advancing an Aging Society by EPF Malaysia; Modernising Malaysian Industries by Permodalan Nasional Berhad; Nurturing Malaysian Entrepreneurs by KWAP Malaysia, Enhancing Well-being of our Armed Forces by LEMBAGA TABUNG ANGKATAN TENTERA and Unleashing Potential of Islamic Finance by Tabung Haji A role for each one, and synergy to support each other across all these themes. For Malaysia and for Malaysians. #GEARuP #EkonomiMADANI #RaisetheCeiling #RaisetheFloor

Avengers, assemble.

Amir you have brought much clarity and defined purpose to the ministry of finance - where historically many were faced with an opaque wall. You have already achieved more than your predecessors in such a short time. But along with shared purpose there is also something as critical , that’s is shared integrity. Especially among the state agencies, glc’s and civil service. You will know better than most the cynism the public have - leaders like yourself that have captured the imagination of the public as to what is possible, can bring the cynics to a point of pragmatic hopefulness. That will make all the difference. Unfortunately it’s more weight on your shoulders.

Let's hope that all these will not get undone whenever the cabinet reshuffles; G.E.; etc. - like how things have always been. Our leaders really need to learn how to discern the good initiatives from the bad / bureaucratic-heavy / inefficient ones - and not make sweeping changes, wholesale, whenever there is a change of Leader(s) or Minister(s), for the sake of political mileage.

Hello My Dear Minister, I fully support every one of the Transformation Programs carried out by the Government, especially now that it is led by the Government of Madani Malaysia, which is to empower the industry and give an injection of stimulus for economic generation. I need to emphasize here that each of these steps needs to ensure the involvement of the government staff on duty, by ensuring that they are fully knowledgeable in each program organized by the Government, this can guarantee the smoothness of each process and avoid delays in each application. This includes GLC parties etc. Sincerely, Sir Tuan Bob Helmi Logistics and Transportation Specialist

Shared integrity within state agencies, government-linked companies (GLCs), and civil service is crucial for building trust and credibility with the public. It is not enough to simply have a common goal; there must also be a collective commitment to upholding ethical standards and transparency in all actions and decisions. As a leader within these organizations, it is important to acknowledge and address the skepticism and doubt that the public may have towards government institutions. By demonstrating and promoting shared integrity, you have the power to inspire confidence and hope in the public. This can have a meaningful and positive impact on the perception of these organizations and their ability to serve the public interest.
