Last week, we had the great pleasure of participating in Sweden Innovation Days. Together with SEI — Stockholm Environment Institute (LeadIT), the Confederation of Indian Industry, and CemVision, we discussed the increasing need to decarbonize the cement industry, focusing on India. Thanks to Venkatagiri K S, Per Andersson, and Hedvig Axberg for an energetic and forward-thinking discussion. The Indian cement market is the second largest in the world and is expected to double in size over the next ten years. At the same time, new innovative technologies must be implemented to lower CO2 emissions rapidly, a challenge that requires cooperation on both country and company levels. LeadIT has set the stage for all actors, and we look forward to contributing to this green and much-needed transition. Thanks to the Swedish Energy Agency, Vinnova, Sweden-India Business Council (SIBC) and Formas, a Swedish Research Council for Sustainable Development, for an excellent event. #electrification #indiacement #leadit #decarbonization

🤝Joining efforts to achieve the ambitious goals of the project! REDYSIGN Project partners from TECNALIA Research & Innovation, RISE PFI, PackBenefit, and Fábrica Nacional de Moneda y Timbre gathered in Spain to collaborate and visit partner facilities. #REDYSIGN representatives visited the PackBenefit production plant in Valladolid and the Fábrica Nacional de Moneda y Timbre. These visits were highly productive, offering insights into processes directly related to #REDYSIGN activities and pilot equipment used in the project. Additionally, RISE PFI's pivotal stay at TECNALIA Research & Innovation significantly advanced the project in its 9th month of development. ♻️ Our collective effort to develop sustainable alternatives to fossil-based packaging with wood-derived materials is making strides.
