Thank you to Lloyd's and presenters for an insightful CMD, Lloyd's first. Key chart for me was a more sophisticated way to present expected returns - the first exceedance probability loss curves produced for the Lloyd's market. This suggests for 2024 £5.9bn of profit from underwriting and syndicate investment returns, with a 90% chance of breakeven or better, before return on Funds at Lloyd's (estimated at £1.7bn). The sum of both equates to an 18% return on capital for the market, before leverage.
