Say no to ordinary marketing. Bring your brand story to life with an unbeatable combination of creativity, analytics, and a bias for action! 🎯 Strategy 💼Project Management 📖Storytelling 👻Ghostwriting 📑Editing
Graphic included in The Wall Street Journal article by Christopher Mims "AI Doesn’t Kill Jobs? Tell That to Freelancers" the subtitle says it's not mere perception. "There’s now data to back up what freelancers have been saying for months" Never mind months; I've been seeing this for over a year now. I recently said as much toa friend of mine who tried to echo the trendy optimistic takes on #AI (which is what most people use to refer to #generativeAI like #ChatGPT specifically) as a tool with great potential, etc. More from the article: "Economists are fond of saying that AI will automate away some tasks, but is unlikely to eliminate many jobs, since most jobs are much broader and more demanding than the parts that can be handed to AI. But freelancers represent an increasing proportion of the workforce: One study by Upwork found 38% of Americans did some kind of freelance work in 2022. For this type of work, it’s sometimes the case that the bulk of a person’s job is doing precisely the tasks that can be automated—and that can put their entire livelihood at risk." Ironically, the default on Linkedin is to offer me the option to "Rewrite with AI" and that I have no intention of doing so. Idid test it out, and it just makes everything sound flatter and less decisive, more neutral, or pareve, if you will.
