As a recruiter for HR professionals, I often receive queries pertaining to benefits. HR professionals are always curious as to what innovative soft and hard benefits companies are offering and how those benefits play into their attraction and retention strategies. Simultaneously I speak to HR professionals on a daily basis looking for new opportunities and get to explore their motivations for leaving their current role and what would draw them to new company. One really interesting benefit that I heard of recently was a company offering a childcare allowance\benefit. So in addition to standard benefits, they pay parents a sum of money every year to go towards their childcare costs. In a country where our childcare care costs are exorbitant, I would be interested to hear people thoughts about a "childcare benefit". ➡ Would this be something your company would implement? ➡ What would this say about your company culture and values? ➡ Would this benefit attract a cohort of parents on the fence about returning to work?
