Its intriguing to note that the Flying Cannons aka FPV drones with small munitions strapped on the drone have emerged as one of the most formidable challenge for the responders in the conflict zones. Early detection is the key, but a confirmed friend or foe determination is as formidable challenge as it is to find the needle in the Haystack! Multispectral detection solutions in the #WALAT3M offer a great hope and some solace, here a combination of active and passive monitoring over a large area can be achieved in the #MMCS container, a compact self contained manned mission control centre. The menace of the RF silent Kamikaze drones can be addressed by small deployment of Radar panels, alright, but which Radar is best suited to detect the drones and why? In Ukraine, drone on drone dogfighting is very common. In this instance, a Russian drone, on its way to target the Ukrainian drone, gets hit by the dropped payload. This results in a missed drop and both drones survive. In many cases, targeting a hovering drone attempting to aim a drop can be more successful than small arms fire or alternative counter-measures. Want to view hundreds of other examples like this one? Join the UAS Threat Intelligence Platform to get daily OSINT reports on drone incidents and TTPs. #drone #uas #ukraine #russia #counterdrone
