When I started Mounjaro 2 years ago my A1C was 11. I’ve lost 108 pounds in 1 1/2 years and my A1C is 5 now. But that being said there is a constant shortage and I am just about ready to go to the compounded version. There are times I have to go an entire month without getting my medication and by the time I get it, I can tell you that my sugar is not being regulated just by the way I feel. so when everybody disregards compounded versions of this medication, just remember there may be times we have no other choice because there is not enough to go around. I am not one of those people who is against anyone being on this for weight management. Being in healthcare, I know that obesity and type two diabetes go hand in hand. I know what it’s like to be severely overweight and I would definitely want this medication, even if my A1c was not over 7. The price needs to come down also. This medication needs to be made available for everyone that needs it. With the price being at $1400 a month and a lot of insurance not covering it and more finding loopholes to get out of covering. It makes it too hard to be on this medication. Like I said I’m almost ready to quit and just pay the $400 for compounded version.

I've been on Mounjaro for 5 months. Started 2.5mg for 8 weeks (due to 5mg shortage) 5.0mg for another 8 weeks, 7.5mg for a month. Pending refill of 7.5mg on back order.  I am grateful how well Mounjaro is working. But ELI LILLY, you are making billions off of this medication. PLEASE increase production. People like me who are making progress wany to continue. It's gut wrenching each time we call in prescription to our Pharmacy every 4 weeks for refill, to be told "on back order". Talk about anxiety & panic.  Anxiously awaiting the FDA approval of Triple G. Clinical trials are looking good. Mid 2025? BRING IT ON !!!!!!! Please pay attention to the patients needs and step up your game with Mounjaro production.  I believe in Eli Lilly and its' desire to help those suffering with long term obesity. Please help !!!!!!!
