From the official Le Mans 24hrs website We look forward to seeing you again on 12-16 June 2024 for the 92nd 24 Hours of Le Mans with the return of some big-name manufacturers in Hyper Car Class: Alpine, BMW, Cadillac, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Peugeot, Porsche and Toyota. Needless to say, it is one of the three biggest races in the world. It is the pinnacle of automotive racing that has been held at Le Mans in France for more than 90 years. There have been criticisms of the race itself from groups that deal with environmental issues. Furthermore, there is an opinion that it is going against the trend of EVs around the world. How many cars do we sell because of our involvement in Formula 1? An almost impossible question to answer exactly, as there are so many touch points for our potential clients that come from our activation's. From having an immersive experience with us at a race, to watching the action on TV and then walking into a dealership - or even seeing Bernd Mayländer drive the FIA F1 Vantage Safety Car and simply thinking 'I have to own one of these', it really is hard to quantify. Of course we do research to measure of the impact of F1 on the perception of our brand, however sometimes the proof presents itself in more niche ways... Today we have announced that Aston Martin’s iconic Racing Green has officially become the most popular colour choice amongst new car buyers, for the very first time. 12% of our cars are now adorned in the official Aston Martin Racing Green, almost twice as much as the next most popular colour. This is a small, but powerful nod to how F1 supports our ambition to be world's most desirable, ultra-luxury British performance brand, creating the most exquisitely addictive performance cars. Not just because they have the money to do so but because they know it's vital to a healthy business. Their problem is the opposite problem to most but very telling of the value they place on marketing; they're so invested that they can't directly track which singular marketing investment is giving them the results. As Billy rightly puts it, it's not one singular thing; it's having multiple touchpoints. A track day might convince one customer, watching the F1 safety car might do it for another. Or a combination of many different touchpoints for someone else. Motorsport history runs deep with Porsche

The car was a collaboration between two engineers, Wilhelm Hild and Hubert Mimler, and F.A. Porsche himself. The 804 gave Porsche its only F1 wins as a constructor, with victories at the French Grand Prix and Castle Solitude, both with Gurney behind the wheel. 🟧 Whatever it takes 🟧 McLaren enters the 2024 season with a renewed mission statement that signals its strong intent for a fresh start. From wiping their entire social media feed on Instagram to debuting their 2024 livery way ahead of the car launch business, they've certainly made their statement loud and clear. Behind the scenes, the team has undergone several changes that could explain their new-found confidence. ✅ Their 2024 car has been developed in the new windtunnel since September, components are being produced in the new composite manufacturing area, and ideas are being tested on the new simulator, according to The Race. ✅ Beyond this, there is the new technical leadership structure. Heading McLaren’s in-season aero development is Peter Prodromou, who used to troubleshoot aerodynamic problems on Adrian Newey McLarens in the late-90s and early 2000s. Rob Marshall brings a wealth of Formula 1 engineering experience with him from F1’s best team. David Sanchez was the chief architect of the 2022 Ferrari concept (yes, that car!). ✅ Lastly, their driver lineup remains unchanged this season. Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri are both great drivers who are more than capable of bringing the fight to Red Bull, Mercedes, and Ferrari if they have a championship-winning car in their hands.
