It's Fun Fact Friday, a special day because it's Good Friday! It's the day when our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, paid the ultimate price for our sins. Today's fun fact is about the purpose of Registered Apprenticeships. The purpose of registered apprenticeships is to provide individuals with a pathway to gain valuable skills, earn a living wage, and establish a career in a specific occupation. These programs offer employers a reliable way to develop a skilled workforce tailored to their industry needs, ensuring a steady supply of qualified workers. Just as Jesus had a purpose, Registered Apprenticeships' purpose is to provide hope, courage, and an opportunity to help individuals start and stay in their careers. #Outreach #Healthcare #RegisteredApprenticeships

A key focus of our work has been enhancing the advocacy capacities of African individuals and organisations to co-create solutions tailored to African challenges, using an Africentric approach. In 2023, we achieved this by providing training, mentorship, fellowships, internships, public lectures, and seminars to institutions, CSOs, and individuals. Hi, I'm the statistic. 👋 It's Neurodiversity Celebration Week, and I'm proud to say I'm an apprentice for an organisation that doesn't just celebrate neurodiversity for a week, but all year long. Reasons why I'd recommend apprenticeships to other neurodiverse people... ✅ The learning is hands-on, and you can directly apply it. ✅ You have access to mentors / a tutor. ✅ There's structure... ✅ ... but you still have wiggle room to be innovative, experimental, and play to your strengths (the most important thing). I can't speak for every neurodiverse person, but if the learning is largely theoretical, or I don't understand my 'why', I tend to switch off. It's just how my brain works! An apprenticeship works for me because not only does it expand my knowledge and teach me new things, but it's directly transferable to my career and the real world. If you're on the fence about starting one, then this is your sign. Shaw Trust Youth Shaw Trust #neurodiversityatwork #neurodiversitycelebrationweek

This is what student success and community partnership looks like! #nonprofits #studentsuccess #parnerships
