Teamwork? Not just that. During the #induction at Pernod Ricard, we were taught some interesting lessons through games. 15 of us were divided into groups of two. On the white stand you see in the picture below, there were hooks. We were given four rings and asked to place the rings on the hooks. The higher you place them, the more points you get. As you can see, there was a huge gap between us and the white stand. You couldn't even throw the rings. The only solution was to lean. If you overstepped a line, you would be penalized. For leaning, you would need support. You had to lean in such a manner that you were just on one foot and tilted. It was ideally not possible without support. While leaning, there was a chance of falling if not supported. The whole point of the game was to teach us to TRUST that our friends/teammates/colleagues will support us while we accomplish the task. An interesting way to learn the importance of TRUST, isn't it? #internship #PernodRicard

🔍 Meet Sophie de Jong, our Digital Marketing Intern for Ben & Jerry’s in the Netherlands 🐮      🏃♀️ Having started her internship with a smooth onboarding, Sophie now enjoys Unilever’s flexibility with its hybrid working settings. Due to the considerable distance between her home and the office, the hybrid option becomes advantageous, especially when train services are unavailable, as it allows her to effectively work from home."     💭 Months into her internship and Sophie loves that she can be creative and feels free to share all her ideas with the team. "They are always very supportive and make sure that I feel comfortable." Being a Marketing person, the role requires her to be creative, to come up with trending ideas and execute them. According to Sophie, the best part about the role is that she knows the brand that she works for makes their products in a fair manner.      👩🏫 To close off, Sophie shares what she thinks of her internship to this day. "This is the best internship ever! P&G Summer Internship - 10 weeks of learning about BRAND BUILDING Last Friday was my last day at Procter & Gamble as a Brand Management Intern for PANTENE. This wasn’t my first internship, but it was my first in Brand Management—a field I've always been passionate about. So, this internship is a pretty big milestone for me. The amount I’ve learned in these 10 weeks is something I couldn’t have found anywhere else. Here are some key takeaways: 1. Start with the WHO, not the HOW: It's all about understanding our consumers. Everything we do should be grounded in their needs, wants, and behaviors. 2. Category analysis isn't the ultimate guide: Sustainable growth comes from driving category growth based on consumer insights, not just following what the market is doing. 3. Be smart with data: Use impactful, actionable data points instead of overwhelming stakeholders with too much information. Beyond the learning, what makes me want to come back here someday are the amazing people I got to work with. Huge thanks to my line manager Jarred Wong, my buddy Nutchaya Kootiratrakarn, and the supportive HR team Siew Ying Yeo, Ming Yi Gui, and Kai En Teoh. #fmcg #brandmanagement #beauty
