#Ehrlichiosis was confirmed in a patient in Italy with a tick attached to his neck. Gene sequences of Ehrlichia canis from the tick and patient were identical, indicating a potential risk for people participating in outdoor activities in Italy. https://bit.ly/4eW6nhl

How to Solve Unusual Phenotypic Ratio Problems Polygenic Traits are Additive. Most traits are polygenic, meaning more than one gene contributes to their phenotypes. In this case, an individual inherits multiple copies of each allele, rather than inheriting one copy of each allele, from each parent. So, when a trait is polygenic, the alleles are additive. How to find frequency of phenotypes and genotypes Allele frequency, or gene frequency, is the relative frequency of an allele at a particular locus in a population, expressed as a fraction or percentage. Specifically, it is the fraction of all chromosomes in the population that carry that allele. Youtube video: https://lnkd.in/d5T3HdCu #nikolaysgeneticslessons

How many genotypes a gene with 8 alleles can produce? The genotype of an organism is its complete set of genetic material. However, the term is often used to refer to a single gene or set of genes, such as the genotype for eye color. The genes partly determine the observable characteristics of an organism, such as hair color, height, etc. Youtube video: https://lnkd.in/dvwA-49X \#nikolays_genetics_lessons
