Consider a career in Risk Engineering. I was recently speaking with 2 engineering students who were soon to graduate, and happily, that turned into a conversation with about 10. They had not given risk engineering much consideration, and I did my best to promote those opportunities. At some point my extremely simplistic example of how it fits into the business world involved a story of what happens when due to poor planning and a lack of protective measures you cut grass at the same time your son decides to wash the dog. I think they got it. If you are interested in a career in risk engineering but want to know more, I strongly recommend: #1. Check out our company profile page, TÜV SÜD Global Risk Consultants. There you can find posts that give much more detail about all the areas of our business - fire protection engineering, arc flash, thermography, property valuation, boiler & machinery, and more. #2 Then, contact me to discuss our various opportunities, because WE ARE HIRING!! #3. Lock the doors when you wash the dog! #wearehiring #riskengineering

Ever wondered what keeps our tech-driven world running smoothly? It's the Service Engineers! 👷♂️🔧 They are the unsung heroes who ensure our machinery and systems don't miss a beat. These technical maestros troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment across industries - hopping from site to site and sometimes diving directly into the action at sea or on a bustling factory floor. They're not just savvy problem-solvers but also customer service wizards, explaining complex fixes in simple terms we can all grasp. For businesses, a sharp Service Engineer is invaluable. They keep downtime to a minimum and help avoid the kind of hiccups that can grind production to a halt. And in today's fast-paced world, can we really afford to pause? ⏱ For more information on Service Engineering jobs please email [email protected] #ServiceEngineering #ProblemSolvers #EngineeringCareers

Former Engineering Manager turned Territory Sales Manager || BURNDY (a Hubbell company) || DM me CONNECT and let’s chat!
What is forensic engineering? I wish there were more undergraduate courses on it. Because it seems like a fun job to me! There are many different types of forensic engineering, but we will keep it to a structural engineering focus for this post. Forensic engineers investigate structural failures, or structures on the verge of failing. These structural failures could be caused by many reasons: -- Vehicle impact -- Water damage -- Building settling -- Natural disasters -- Fire damage The list goes on. They may be working with a law firm or insurance company to assess damage. They may need to testify in court based on their findings. Sometimes they may be solving a really challenging puzzle, As the answer to why something failed is not always obvious. I think that’s one of the many reasons this job is great: -- You get to spend time outside. -- You get to visit new places every week. -- You get to solve crazy puzzles every so often. And most of all, the industry is predicted to continue growing. Infrastructure will always need to be inspected, maintained, and refurbished. And there will need to be engineers there to solve the problems. What did I miss? Any forensic engineers want to add anything?

Founder @XemplaHq. Ex AIESECer. SGx Winter 2020 by SaaSBoomi. Helping Facility Management leaders deliver inclusive digital transformation, delivering profits & growth opportunities for O&M & Engineering teams!
There is a shortage (significant) of trained / skilled technicians / engineers which has impacted the ability of many #facilitymanagement firms to deliver on the outcomes expected around planned and scheduled maintenance or to keep with the SLA around resolution of reactive maintenance. I somehow feel that there is a endless loop that teams get into or have a tendency to get into. Is there a way to get out it? One way to solve for it is to scout and hire fast, that is an obvious and perhaps the most difficult thing to do now. Given the situation what is something else that #facilitymanagement teams and leaders can do at the moment? Is there some way data and tech can come to rescue? #plannedmaintenance #facilitiesmanagement #digitaltransformation
