A little newspaper exposure yesterday as I was asked a few questions on housing. We did cover so much more than what was published, but the main point we must focus on is the number of homes created annually by our industry. To meet demand, to make progress in resolving our national housing crisis, we must create more stock. There are a huge number of challanges to overcome, but with a collaborative approach between all stakeholders, I'm positive we can progress. On the question of success... I actually said I do not believe we are "successful". We have so much more to do. No artist claimed success before completing their masterpiece! The job is only done when it's complete and we have a long way to go.
Setting the standard Eddie, thinking a bit different. A prime example of how to build suceessfully, with the homeowner in mind from start to finish. You and Mike have always been a class act, and great guys to boot! Wouldn’t hurt the government to have a conversation with you on how to work on improving the mess of UK Housebuilding!
Great work Eddie. And still looking very handsome !
It’s not rocket science - the LA’s are sitting on more empty housing stock and land. Joint ventures and put up some of the money they are wasting on quangos 🤬🤬
Eddie, plenty of need for quality affordable homes, lets hope government and authorities get out of the way to let it happen by quality companies.
Great article Eddie and profile for SME home builder sector
Félicitations Eddie 👍
Great perspective! 👏👏
Well done Eddie!

2moA great article. It’s always difficult to get across the sheer mental, physical and time commitment to being the owner of an SME business. Politicians and the public need to understand the undying commitment to producing a quality, ‘value-for-money’ product. It sounds easy, but isn’t! They say ‘the harder you work, the easier it seems’, and ‘calm above the surface but working furiously under the water’. You and Mike are true examples of that. I wish our kids had an insight into the commitment it takes to drive a business forward.
