Ten years ago, I had no business in workforce development. I fully believed I'd be in New York at Cosmo, building personality quizzes and talking about leather jackets (who knows, there's still time). But I ran face-first into the world of workforce development 6-7 years ago, and I haven't been able to think of anything else since. In marketing/advertising, I often saw so much information left on the table and many employer-nonprofit-educator partnerships with untapped potential or go unexplored. So, I did what anyone would do: I commissioned my own research to find out what was happening and built my own tool to solve the issues I hated seeing so often. My goal is to build, talk about, and perpetuate high-fidelity workforce pipelines that meet the needs of high-stakes industries ASAP. If that's your goal, too, we should chat. Enjoy!!

Career Development Professional 6 apprenticeship 'retirement' proposal UPDATE A positive meeting was held with IfATE yesterday regarding the future of the CDP 6. It seems that IfATE miscommunicated their intentions and thankfully are looking at completing a comprehensive review of the Standard instead of its 'retirement'. This has been raised due to concern over completion rates to this point. The meeting raised a number of considerations and views and as a result the Trailblazer group is being brought together to complete the review by the deadline date of March 2025. Myself and a number of other attendees at the meeting have offered to join the group. For providers it will be in an advisory capacity. The review which has been requested anyway since 2023 will be comprehensive and allow for reasoned development. Please share your views through all channels and lets ensure that this quality learning and progression opportunity continues and leads to increased uptake in years to come. Thanks.
