He described CGIAR as pivotal in feeding our future, noting that "no other institution has done as much to feed our world as CGIAR." That is no small accolade! At Future Food Asia we continue to be inspired by CGIAR—the world’s largest global agricultural research organization. Their dedicated efforts span decades, and their impact is felt worldwide. 🔬 Over 50 years ago, CGIAR's groundbreaking research into high-yielding, disease-resistant rice and wheat varieties helped launch the #GreenRevolution, fundamentally changing the course of agriculture. We are excited to announce that Dr. Shakuntala Thilsted, 2021 World Food Prize Laureate and leader of CGIAR’s Nutrition, Health, and Food Security Impact Area Platform, will be joining us at FFA24. Unlocking Global Food Security: The Potential of NZ-India Collaboration This week's visit of India’s President H.E. Droupadi Murmu to New Zealand - only the 2nd head-of-state visit from India to NZ - highlights the growing partnership between our nations. During last week's Sustainable Food Futures forum, co-hosted with Ananta Aspen Centre in India, we explored potential collaboration opportunities between India and NZ. With experts like Amit Gupta, Geoff Allott, Pramit Pal Chaudhuri, and Dr. Bhagirath Choudhary, and insightful contributions from H.E. "Feeding 10 Billion by 2050: Action-Oriented Insights from Soil Health and Food Security Working Groups," a Borlaug Dialogue side event hosted by the International Fertilizer Development Center (IFDC), will convene global leaders from three key working groups established during the IFDC Washington D.C.
