As I strolled down the hospital corridor, my gaze lingered on the empty frames awaiting the Employee of the Month accolades for 2024. "Your picture will never grace that wall," I quietly mused to myself. Little did I anticipate that a mere few days later, I would be called to a "meeting" only to be bestowed with the prestigious title of Employee of the Month. The rush of emotions was overwhelmingโelation, surprise, and perhaps a hint of disbelief. It marked the first time in my career that I had received such esteemed recognition. Yet, amidst the jubilation, I couldn't shake off the lingering feeling of imposter syndrome that many of us grapple withโdoubts about deserving the recognition and position we hold. Receiving this award served as a reminder to acknowledge and celebrate our own accomplishments. It taught me the importance of recognizing myself as a capable and hardworking individual, worthy of the position I hold and capable of achieving even more. Moreover, this achievement shed light on the invaluable role of a supportive network. I am fortunate to be surrounded by colleagues who not only excel in their roles but also offer unwavering support, allowing me to thrive. From a dedicated manager who mentors and nurtures my growth to resilient team members who effortlessly shoulder the workload, their support enables me to push boundaries and go the extra mile. And let's not forget our newest hospital manager, whose genuine enthusiasm for celebrating team successes fosters a culture of camaraderie and appreciation. 1 year complete Congratulations to you! Why, God why? You have completed 1 year at the same organization! Completing one year at the same organization is often seen as a milestone worthy of congratulations. It's a sentiment Iโve encountered before, having worked part-time at a preschool before joining Leading Life. However, this time, the congratulations felt different. This is my first full-time role, and the significance of this milestone struck me deeply. When colleagues, friends, and even acquaintances congratulated me, I found myself pondering a simple question: Why? ๐ค Why is completing one year at the same organization such a notable achievement?ย ๐ค Why it isn't a normal thing to complete one year at the same organization? โ The answer, as many pointed out, lies in its rarity. In todayโs rapidly evolving job market, staying with the same employer for an extended period has become increasingly uncommon. Reflecting on my journey at Leading Life, I realize how fortunate I am to work in an environment that fosters growth, values employee well-being, and offers opportunities for advancement. The support and encouragement Iโve received have been instrumental in reaching this one-year milestone. As I celebrate this achievement, I am reminded of the importance of creating workplaces where employees feel valued, engaged, and supported.
