Mars, Inc.’s snacking division joins forces with Unreasonable Group for a three-year partnership aiming to lead the global initiative in redefining food systems for a more regenerative, inclusive, and equitable future. The collaboration, named Unreasonable Food, aligns with Mars’ sustainability goals and seeks to foster a more agile and forward-looking snacking business. Focusing on four pillars, including shaping the future of food and reimagining sustainable packaging, the initiative aims to identify and accelerate impactful solutions through a network of growth-stage entrepreneurs. Over the partnership’s duration, approximately 40 ventures will be selected to address Mars Snacking’s key sustainability challenges. The first cohort will be announced soon, with mentorship from Mars Snacking’s global leadership team and Unreasonable Mentors. The partnership reflects Mars’ commitment to shaping a sustainable food future. What’s on the minds of the most impressive start-ups in the food and beverage industry? Everything! Last Thursday I had the privilege to lead one of the first training modules for the finalists of the 2024 PepsiCo Greenhouse Accelerator Program: Juntos Crecemos Edition. The presentation was focused on #branding and #purpose-driven positioning - two highly interconnected priorities for companies looking to set themselves apart from their competitors and capture the attention (and wallets) of today’s multicultural and socially-conscious consumers. We talked about some of the most important considerations when building a brand, then explored why a strong public relations strategy is critical to shaping the right narrative for consumers, media, employees, investors, and other various stakeholders. The conversation turned tactical, too, with the participants asking great questions about how to position their news with media year-round, ways to optimize positive publicity, how to position executives as industry thought leaders, which media outlets to target, and even how to write the best boilerplate for press releases. PepsiCo announced the return of its Greenhouse Accelerator Program: Juntos Crecemos (Together We Grow) Edition – a collaborative program that provides funding and pairs breakthrough start-ups with PepsiCo experts to help grow their businesses. For the second consecutive year, this edition of Greenhouse Accelerator will focus on elevating high-potential Hispanic-owned CPG food and beverage startups that demonstrate the promise of transforming the industry with snacks and beverages that are better for people and the planet. According to the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC), Latino businesses generate $800 billion for the U.S. economy yearly1, but they have the potential to generate much more if provided greater access to business-critical resources. Wine Innova Tech 2024, pushes the creation of a #WineTech Private Fund in Chile, that will focus on revolutionising the wine industry by tackling climate change head-on 🍇💸♻️🌎 After the realization of the international Seminar Wine Innova Tech 2024, the organizers are integrating the results and conclusion to focus on the creation of the first Wine Private Fund to invest in WineTech initiatives in Valparaiso Region, to face the challenges of Climate Change, sustainability and attraction of new technologies to the wine industry. The International Seminar was supported by Comite de Desarrollo Productivo de Valparaiso Corfo thanks to Viraliza Corfo Program to upscale the Wine Innovation Strategy in the Valparaiso Region, one hour from Santiago, the Chilean Capital. Wine Investment Attraction The Senior Project Manager of Wine Innova Tech, Maximiliano Morales was in charge of the strategy of attracting investors, VCs and National and International Investment Funds so that they can learn about the opportunities they have in Valparaiso Region. All of this strategy was lead by Luis Felipe Oliva, the Former Investment and Financing Manager at Innovation Agency of CORFO that lives in Mexico.
