All good thoughts Ben. Do we know if Regenified is finding a market fit yet? I hear many acres have been certified, but has the value chain been lifted up for any of the farms with validated regen grain in the bin? Consumer well-being stems from engagement with the environment around where their food comes from. Eating meat they can feel great about again. Enjoying flour-based foods in spite of a gluten sensitivity. Oatmeal with the taste and texture of actual grain. The only place I see this happening is locally, via short chains where there is no guesswork around validating the claims because consumers can literally drive to the farms and see for themselves. Maybe only possible within states and provinces facilitated by farmers markets, small-scale local or on-farm processors, and online sales platforms.

What is the biggest enabler of regenerative agriculture? 🚜 "Restructuring the financial models that contribute to farming globally", says Adele Jones, Executive Director at Sustainable Food Trust (SFT). The current economic signals tell farmers that they need to produce as much as they can for the lowest possible cost, irrespective of the impacts on public health or the environment. 👎 The Sustainable Food Trust suggests that to help enable the shift to regenerative farming methods and to make a business case for this transition, we could start by assigning, where appropriate, an economic value to the many positive outputs generated by truly regenerative farming. 🐝 But this transition will require a wide support system, including not only farmers but government, food companies, retailers, banks, investors and the insurance industry. 🤝 SFT’s Executive Director, Adele Jones, met with Commonland at the Regenerative Agriculture and Food Systems Summit organised by Kisaco Research: Food, Drink & Wellness to discuss this in more detail. 👉 To find out more about the SFT’s work, visit sustainablefoodtrust.org #RegenerativeAgriculture #RAFSS #FoodProduction #SustainableTransition
