Hello from San Luis Potosi, Mexico, I really appreciate this event, thank you! My question is: I know that there´s no a magical formula to hire a candidate, or at least to review a resume, but how do you process/review a resume of a candidate who applies for a position with experience but he/she didn't have the educational background that the position requests? I mean, sometimes we have a lot of experience to contribute with a position for a positive compliance in your company but maybe talent acquisition never get in touch with the candidate because he/she didn't studied the degree or the field of study that the position requires. How can you approach the candidate to know in a deeply way his/her interests and experience beyond the resume? I receive a lot of rejection emails but nobody contacted me to discover I have the experience to contribute with the company, the interest to contribute. We studied something but sometimes life takes us to other horizons gaining experience in something different. Thanks a lot again, I really appreciate!

19 years in Eaton and going strong and agree that we each need to actively manage our own careers and ensure we have the right development plans in place to get where we want to go. I have had a phenomenal experience at Eaton in Aerospace, Mobility Group, Electrical, and Corporate. 19 years and going strong with broad experience in Engineering, Quality, Supplier Development, Supply Chain, Program Management, etc. Need to have passion and drive to get ahead as nobody else will drive your career for you.

My question is why does the relational become more important than being skilled worker ?

Amel Mesloub I know you are likely looking for answer from the panel but as a leader I can share that skills are very important but relationship building is also important as this is how you market your skills. You want when people to think of you or consider you that the thought is paired with a positive experience. Consider as a consumer where you eat/shop, you tend to navigate where you have positive experience even though there may be food/items of greater or same value somewhere else that perhaps you never tried

Very rightly stated. Running behind promotions with a weak foundation is never going to taste success

I am seeking job opportunities as an early-career professional. After completing my B-Tech in Mechanical Engineering from NIT Agartala, I gained experience working as a Mechanical Engineer at SLB, focusing on New Product Development and Sustaining. However, I have faced challenges in restarting my career in recent months. I am looking for guidance on how to proceed and successfully secure a new opportunity.
