"You can't always get what you want, But if you try sometimes, Well, you might find, You get what you need." The Rolling Stones certainly got this right! Folks, we're in an "Employers Smorgasbord", accept it and embrace it. I've personally had to revise my search and employment criteria to preferrably in-house / remote / hybrid, in or around the Cape Town CBD. The point I'm putting across; is that I, and some if you, are hunting like crazy, and it's definitely not much fun. Just like in sales, we sometimes need to change our positioning and redirect our sails, yet always keeping the end goal in sight. The first goal is to find decent employment, the goals thereafter is to make target and become an achiever. Growth within the company may follow, maybe it won't... but it is employment! So for now, just realise that we can't always get want we want, but we might find a career, we found what we need. Rock on, keep hunting, be prepared to adjust, and accept what pays the bills. #OPENTOWORK #OPENTOSUCCEED #SALESROCK

𝑱𝒖𝒔𝒕 𝒔𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒂 𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒕𝒍𝒆 𝒐𝒃𝒔𝒆𝒓𝒗𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏.. People outside of the 𝑷𝒓𝒊𝒗𝒂𝒕𝒆 𝑯𝒐𝒖𝒔𝒆𝒉𝒐𝒍𝒅 profession don't seem to realise that this is a thriving employment sector and actually, for many, a career choice. Yes, people often fall into it in the beginning, as others fall into their field - myself and recruitment, for example... However, it is very much a career that requires 𝒌𝒏𝒐𝒘𝒍𝒆𝒅𝒈𝒆, 𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒆𝒙𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆.. along with a network of trusted contacts and connections.. a little black book, if you like. It is not easy to transition into a role in a private house.. even if you have lots of transferrable skills! 👉🏻Having a driving license doesn't make you a 𝑪𝒉𝒂𝒖𝒇𝒇𝒆𝒖𝒓. 👉🏻Being a corporate PA doesn't make you the best choice for a 𝑷𝒓𝒊𝒗𝒂𝒕𝒆 𝑷𝑨 role 👉🏻Having experience in management and running your own home isn't a fast lane to a 𝑯𝒐𝒖𝒔𝒆 𝑴𝒂𝒏𝒂𝒈𝒆𝒓 position. A high percentage of the applications I receive are from people who just don't seem to realise that there are people who have made this their career..🤷🏻♀️ Could it be because it is quite a closed community.. full of NDAs? Or perhaps it's because the world of UHNWIs just doesn't feature or cross over too much in our day to day lives?
