Before hiring: I have to do everything. But this person can think independently, own his decisions. For a change, I will have some support. After hiring: Why doesn't this person just do as told. I want him to be successful. We are bleeding money as we speak. We need results. ASAP. Just trust me. I have thought it through. We can do dialogues and debate sessions later. After he leaves: He had potential. Hope he learns more about practical team work wherever he goes. 10 times after this repeats: I wonder why my team doesn't think and take ownership. I have to do everything.

Who do people work for...? PEOPLE! 🙋♂️ At Juvo, we consistently put an emphasis on the 'human' approach in the hiring space. 👎As a hiring manager/business owner, you can't expect to throw out a job description into the wild and expect the talent to come crawling. ✨Add a touch of your personality, showcase the workplace environment, and BE HUMAN. 👀See what our CEO, Mark Emery, has to say about putting the humanity back into hiring.

What I am about to tell you might sound crazy, but it’s actually one of the most logical and calculated decisions I have made. I gave equity in my company to a 22 and 23-year-old who had no previous professional experience before working for me. Without them, we would not be growing and helping as many people as we currently do. Take Salomé, for example. She was the second VA I ever hired and really quickly proved her value. Her ability to execute the vision, keep us focused, and scale the team is unmatched! Samuel was the first full-time salesperson I hired, and since then, he has been leading the way in growth. He emerged in the sales and marketing industry and has taken over those departments. What is so impressive is that he has had a better closing and conversion rate than me! Our goal with Opny Career is to create the world's top talent company and open a world of opportunity for billions. This massive goal is not something that I can do alone. Without a doubt, Salo and Samuel are key to us reaching that massive goal!! P.S. Let this be a lesson that you don’t need experience to find a way to add value and become invaluable. All it takes is clarity, grit, and passion!

Interviewing is a two-way street. If you’re hiring someone to join your team, you want to make sure your company can offer as much value to THEM as they’re going to offer you. Why? A top performer isn’t going to jump to your organization if they don’t see what’s in it for them. The reality is that they’re going to be making great money where they’re at, and likely not looking to make a move. Knowing how your company’s offer adds value to the candidate is going to be essential to getting the top talent you want on your team.

Hi friends! With the announcement of my new career services business, Kylie Michele Careers I wanted to talk about my vision, the inspiration behind the company and what it can do for you! For years I have negotiated with and built teams for some of the world’s top product and design leaders across companies like Airbnb, Reddit, Inc., Atlassian and Ironclad. For a while, being able to bring in women, Black, brown and disabled folks gave me my purpose. It showed me that I could have an amazing career while also bringing some good to the world. But at the end of the day, recruiters are on the company’s team - not yours. Now, the best recruiters are absolutely on your team, but we are pressured by recruiting leadership to churn and work at a pace that’s untenable. When I got laid off from Reddit after doing some of the best work of my life rebuilding their entire UX recruiting organization, it killed me. I had incredibly strong performance, I had made a huge difference to the company and I was working with really talented people. But that’s the nature of capitalism and recruiting. The thought of going back into recruiting during this nightmare market, where recruiters are either out of work or worked to the bone, sounded awful. I’m tired. I’ve done 5 years straight of hyper growth and the pace was killing me. So I decided to get out of the tech rat race. I decided to take a bet on myself, and use my knowledge and expertise and almost decade of experience recruiting to bring that knowledge to you. With companies making record profits and using the excuse of “it’s just business” when they are laying you off, taking away your source of income, livelihood - well then, in my opinion, it’s just business to enable workers as much as we possibly can. My programs and 1:1 strategic sessions are focused on that - giving the power back to you. Enabling you to take as much money from corporations to make sure you thrive. They are certainly doing that for themselves, why not you? Let’s rewrite the narrative. If tech is backed up by full HR teams, lawyers, finance teams, etc., why wouldn’t you deserve to be fully enabled too? I promise you, having a recruiter that knows the ins and outs of finance teams, hiring mangers, interview processes, will absolutely ensure you get a higher income, better titles and a full optimized career. You deserve it <3 Tell me in the comments what you want to know from a former recruiter that knows all the ins and outs of the business and check out my programs below; https://lnkd.in/gNYHVUEa
