Early Learning Coalition of Orange County’s Post

Today’s NAEYC Week of the Young Child theme is 🌟 Work Together Wednesday! 🌟 Working together at a young age promotes essential skills like communication, cooperation, and empathy, crucial for success in school and beyond. Here are some great ideas for children to work together. Teamwork makes the dream work! 👏 👣 Block Builders- Children can work together to build a tower using blocks or other building materials. Each child can contribute by selecting and placing blocks, fostering collaboration and coordination. 👣 Create a Story- Children can work together to create a story by taking turns adding to the plot or drawing pictures to illustrate different parts of the story. This promotes creativity and communication. 👣 Playing a group game- Children can engage in a group game such as a scavenger hunt or relay race. Working together encourages teamwork, problem-solving, and social skills development as they learn to take turns and share.
