🎤 PAOLO MINCIACCHI, CEO e-GEOS, attended a panel discussion moderated by Via Satellite, jointly with representatives from some of the world's largest companies in the Earth Observation industry. 🛰️ The discussion focused on the assessment of the current industry state, in a historical time where the fight against #ClimateChange and the needs in #Defense and #Security highlighted the vital role that #Satellites can play in providing valuable insights. NewSpace India Limited (NSIL), the commercial subsidiary of the Department Of Space in India, ISRO - Indian Space Research Organization, has invited private entities to undertake the production of its #largest_launch_vehicle, #LVM3. Recognizing the escalating demand for launching heavier communication satellites and those destined for global mega LEO (low earth orbit) constellations, NSIL aims to engage private players in this endeavor. Companies like SpaceX's Starlink and Eutelsat OneWeb have been actively involved in establishing constellations comprising hundreds of satellites, primarily for purposes such as expanding Internet connectivity. In a significant move, #NSIL has urged private enterprises to undertake the complete manufacturing of a launch vehicle, leveraging its tried-and-tested #Polar_Satellite_Launch_Vehicle (#PSLV) platform. To this end, a consortium consisting of Hindustan Aeronautics Limited and L&T Technology Services has been tasked with producing five PSLVs. It is anticipated that the maiden flight of the privately manufactured vehicle will occur this year, marking a notable milestone in #India's #space_exploration and commercialization efforts. 📍Typhoon #Yagi has hit northern Vietnam, causing #landslides and #floods. In #PhuTho province, a steel bridge collapsed.
