Public consultation is now open to inform the first National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Family Safety Plan. In partnership with the First Nations National Plan Steering Committee and SNAICC - National Voice for our Children, we want to hear from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, communities and organisations and the broader service sector to help address family, domestic and sexual violence. The Australian Government has launched new online training to help workers who support people impacted by forced adoption. Forced Adoption: Practical Skills and Awareness is an introductory, non-accredited online training course that aims to help workers in the aged care workforce and community service sector to mitigate the risks of triggering people with past trauma.
