Drones drop flammable payloads to burn through anti-drone nets. In a cat-and-mouse approach to evading counter-measures, UAS prison delivery groups have dropped packages through a hole in the protective netting. Staff from Mountjoy Prison in Dublin allege the flame-retardant packaging is set alight, allowing it to burn through the netting, whilst keeping the contents safe from damage. Appearing to re-use the hole for multiple targeted UAS deliveries, staff were able to recover the following contraband from UAS deliveries: - Knuckle dusters, flick knives, razor blades - Heroin, cannabis and pills - Android, Apple and miniature smart phones Actors consistently assess their counter-counter measures against the latest equipment and technologies. Facilities need to track the latest adversary TTPs to stay one step ahead. #uas #cuas #counterdrone #antidrone #prison

Drones as first responders represent a significant advancement in law enforcement technology. However, integrating this technology require a comprehensive review and upgrading of video to enhance situational awareness for tactical responders as well as strategic commanders and aid in evidence collection and analysis. Encompassing other tools such as manned air vehicles, helicopters, body-worn cameras, dash cams, evidence-gathering teams, mobile video units, and footage from PTZ and fixed cameras strategically positioned in the area, LiveU technology emerges as a cornerstone, facilitating seamless communication across diverse jurisdictions and enabling the transmission of video feeds from various sources to central command centers and first responder devices, ensuring both officer and the public's safety. Some thoughts on some research I did on Police Anti-Drone Defense in the US. Unless your department or agency is using some of the great products from Anduril or Dedrone, you're going to have to come up to speed on this, and relatively quickly. Law enforcement has many UAS teams flying lots of drones, and they're good at it. Countering unmanned aerial systems will be become an increasing priority in the US relatively soon. A couple things that stand out are: 1. Law enforcement agencies will need dedicated anti-drone resources. 2. Add shotguns with turkey loads to the load out on your departments vehicles. This gets a kinetic countermeasure in place relatively quickly. This is pretty alarming stuff. Appreciate your feedback. More posts on this subject to follow.

One throw to fly Drones are increasingly being used by law enforcement agencies, and most of the drones used by law enforcement agencies do not require large ones. Instead, to a large extent, small and lightweight multi-purpose drones are the preferred choice. One throw to fly can fully meet the needs of the law enforcement process, including fixed-point monitoring, tracking and accompanying flight, evidence collection and photography, and daily patrols. Due to its small size, many narrow spaces can be used, making takeoff and return very convenient. #civildefence #publicsafety #uav #drone #ai #smartcity #security #searchandrescue #publicservice #trafficsafety #bordersecurity #lifesaving #crimeprevention #police #surveillance #maritimesecurity

Companies are eager to tap this growing market of police Drones as First Responders(DFR). Police technology company Axon —known for its Tasers and body-worn cameras — recently acquired drone company Dedrone specifically citing that company’s efforts to push DFR programs as one reason for the acquisition. Axon since has established a partnership with Skydio in order to expand their DFR sales. This underscores the importance of efficient technology solutions like LiveU By streamlining workflows and enhancing operational efficiency, LiveU empowers law enforcement personnel to focus on their mission, rather than the intricacies of technology. LiveU's capabilities extend to coordinating drone deployment strategies and deploying evidence gathering teams on the ground to monitor 911 and (999 in the UK ) calls, effectively. #lawenforcement #police #publicsafety #911 #999 #firstresponder #video #commandandcontrol #C2 #dron #uas #uav CBRNE ATLANTIC BRIDGE (CAB) Matthew Stringer Joseph Yaker Jared Brody

#Policestaffing is at crisis levels across the US. Is it a surprise that violent crime remains higher than before the pandemic? That property and auto theft are higher (8% and 11% respectively y/y)? That hyper aggressive driving and auto fatality rates have increased? Drones – #DFR – can help. 1/ Drones, equipped with advanced technologies, offer significant advantages in policing and law enforcement. With their ability to carry cameras, thermal imaging, and more, drones can assist in search and rescue operations, locating missing persons or suspects in areas difficult to access by foot or vehicle, active shooter situations, and more. 2/ Drones can also play a crucial role in traffic monitoring, accident investigation, and crime scene analysis, capturing high-resolution images and videos that can be used as evidence. 3/ Drones also enable police to assess and manage situations without putting officers directly in harm's way, thus enhancing both public and officer safety. 4/ And we need the help. The NYPD was more than 1,200 officers below the budgeted headcount in March of this year; the SFPD is down more than 600 officers (30%); Phoenix is down 500 officers; and the Washington DC PD is smaller than it has been in 50 years. The problem is repeated all across the country. #drone #firstresponders #drones #dronesforgood #policeofficer #safety #community #dronepilot Echelon | Ai Skyfire Consulting
