There are many misconceptions 😫 about Quadcopters and Multi-rotors. The FUN FACT is a Quadcopter is LESS stable and LESS efficient than an equivalent regular helicopter or monocopter. 👇 👇 🛫 🛩 Drones are so unstable they need to be fitted with electronic stabilization or a Gimbal because no human can fly a drone effectively without it in reality. 👉 Three Axis or Six Axis Electronic Stabilization (gyro stabilization) 🌌 is used in drones and the parameters in the Controller are to be adjusted for a smooth flight. 🚀 🚀 👉 A gimbal is a pivoted support that permits the rotation of an object about an axis. A set of three gimbals, one mounted on the other with an orthogonal pivot axis, is used to allow an object mounted on the innermost gimbal to remain independent of the rotation of its support. Gimbals are used to stabilize 📸 camera payloads or IMUs 🖲 that have been mounted on drones. #drone #drones #dronetechnology #dronetech #physics #physicswallah #sciencematters #dronepilot #technologyfacts #mechanicaldesign

Should the drone make an emergency landing or return after being interfered with? The behavior of a drone after interference depends on the pattern of interference and the programming of the drone itself. 1. UAV flight control system UAV fail-safe protection algorithm: UAVs usually include a fail-safe algorithm in the flight control program, which can execute preset emergency procedures after losing control signals, such as automatically returning home or landing on the spot. 2. Disturbance patterns and responses Image transmission signal interference: If the jammer only interferes with the image transmission signal, the drone may automatically return home when it is greater than the minimum safe altitude. Navigation signal interference: When the GNSS navigation signal is interfered with, the drone will lose position information and may drift due to wind direction. At this time, it may choose to land on the spot. 3. Technical principles of jammers Directional interference: The jammer blocks the communication between the drone and the operator by emitting signals of specific frequencies, affecting its normal flight. Drive-off and forced landing: Drive-off mode will interfere with the positioning system but will not affect the operator's control, while forced landing mode will completely cut off the connection between the drone and the operator, forcing it to land. #Dronedetection

Looks like the russians are stepping up their drone game in Ukraine with the new "Veter" UAVs. These drones come in two flavors, "Veter 10" and "Veter 13", packing some AI punch. 🤖 What's the buzz About? AI-Powered: These drones supposedly use AI for auto-targeting. 🎯 Speed & Range: Both models can hit targets up to 20 km away and zip through the skies at 150 km/h. Payload: The "Veter 10" carries 3.5 kg, while the "Veter 13" packs up to 8 kg. The AI tech supposedly makes these UAVs more accurate and easier to control, giving operators an edge. Plus, the developers have moved the transmission equipment far away using aerial or wire suspensions, keeping the operators safe and sound. 🛡️ Is it just hype? Time will tell, but it’s definitely something to keep an eye on. 👀 What do you think? Let’s hear your thoughts in the comments below! #Drones #AI #UAV #TechInWarfare #Innovation

I talk about drone technology: BVLoS, LiDAR, Multispectral, Thermal, AI, Swarming and the latest innovations.
Today on the testbench we have the Riebo SF10 payload. By combining a 103MP sensor with a Livox MID360 LiDAR and a 75mm focal length, the SF10 is a fantastic payload for incredibly detailed inspections. Plug and play with the DJI Matrice 300 series, it is easy to use and has fast autofocusing due to the LiDAR. Whilst it might be considered overkill by some, there are updates coming that will enable more capabilities in addition to the rapid focusing. We'll be putting the SF10 through its paces this week, whilst the weather is nice and hot! Want to learn more about the SF10? Excited to share our latest research on enhancing UAV control systems through data-driven predictive models. I'd like to extend my deepest gratitude to Professor Stuart Townley and Dr. Saptarshi Das for their continuous support. Our study introduces a novel approach for predicting drone motion by leveraging fundamental flight control data, simplifying traditional control complexities. We also compare the performance of two neural network architectures—LSTM and NARX—in developing virtual drone models using real flight data. We expect that this work can be an attempt at improving the autonomy of individual drones and can set the stage for future studies on swarm behaviours in drone clusters. Stay tuned for more insights! doi: https://lnkd.in/e-8PwSsk
