I job hopped a lot in order to get higher pay and I still plan on doing it

Yes! Did a podcast about this some years ago. The stats are staggering when it comes to hospital ownership and leadership roles. Not to mention the pay gap which I have personal experience with

I encourage associates to negotiate production based pay- be your own boss of your income. If salary is more secure- show how you will / are producing to earn your desired salary. And never sign any kind of non- compete! Be ready to walk and free to do what you want where you want.

Great article! Another piece is the perception that women with children can not take more on her plate and can't handle the role/job. Yes this is discrimination, but it is happening with new job opportunities or promotions. A woman should not have to dance around questions becasue she does not want to be judged for having kids. Compared to a man with kids does not always get that imitate question "is this too much."
