The discussion guide for this EXCELLENT episode asks, if you could change one thing about the early childhood system to make it anti-biased, what would you change? I would love to hear your thoughts! https://lnkd.in/ghGC4Mc2

Interesting - We usually talk about the White Power Structure and Systemic Racism to be 'white', however, let's spread the net a bit - because the D.S.A (Divided States of America) is NOT the only country that views Black people in a lower caste system, which has also become inter-sectioned with race; Check out the clip below - Any Questions?

Welcome Jan H to Green Mountain Disability Stories! Jan H. lives in Southern Vermont, and in this episode, she tells her story of living with multiple chemical sensitivities to Emerson Wheeler, Health Equity & Community Engagement Coordinator at the Vermont Department of Health. Jan talks about how Myalgic Encephalomyelitis / Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, or ME/CFS affects her options for housing, employment, healthcare, and just about every facet of her life. She also shares what other people can do to advocate for themselves as well as make it easier for her and other people with ME/CFS to be included in their communities. "I want to say something to the people who *don't* have this condition, who aren't bothered by it, who don't think it really affects them. First of all, if you're involved in a business that touches the public, and you're using fragrances -- either personally or in the cleaning of the facility -- you're limiting access for a certain number of people. You're gonna feel like it's impossible to get rid of all the fragrance in the facility. It feels really huge? But I would want you to not feel that way. Don't look at this Mt. Everest of things, look at the small things. Because every single thing that you change is going to help some small portion of the people. Don't start with the people who come into your facility -- I agree, it's super hard to control the people. Start with the processes of the business." https://lnkd.in/egFDgjM3 #DisabilityInclusion #Storytelling #MECFS

The Right Thing to Do: A Harvard Study (Studying with Harvard) The Harvard series "The Right Thing to Do" poses a moral dilemma: should we kill one person to save four? This question sparks a debate on individual rights, liberalism, and the role of government. Individuals have separate lives that must be respected, and liberalism emphasizes the importance of individual rights. However, governments have a legitimate role in passing laws that promote the greater good, such as requiring seatbelts or helmets. But what about moral values and societal norms? Don't they sometimes violate individual liberty? For instance, the recognition of gay and lesbian rights doesn't harm anyone, yet some argue it goes against traditional values. Another question arises: should wealth be redistributed from the rich to the poor? Is this a violation of individual liberty or a necessary step towards equality? Episode 223 is live and its the second of a series of episodes where we begin to explore the radical right groups of the 1960's that clearly had great motive to murder president Kennedy. Emerging, alongside civil rights leaders, as a prime target for ire of white racists, anti-communists, and and a wide variety of other conservative groups, President Kennedy was a a target among them all. This aspect of the assassination and the connection of the radical right is little explored. We started many episodes back, with the story of Joseph Milteer but its rather easy to pull on that string and find much more underneath the covers. Part 2 of this new wander addressed the National States Rights Party and continues the review of the five key organizations, amongst a plethora of radical right organizations, that are relevant to the JFK story. They are the KKK, The John Birch Society, the White Citizens Councils, The National States Rights Party and the Minutemen. These handful of groups were intertwined with men who weaved their way in and out of the shadowy existence of this intense resistance to societal change. The story is not faceless, and we will introduce many of the key characters in this series of episodes that were key to understanding how the radical right may have participated in the JFK Assassination. But first lets explore a bit about these organizations as we go deeper and deeper and connect the players. Enjoy! Jeff

The ABC needs serious management intervention, as a people we have a right to unbiased and balanced reporting of News and Current affairs.
Just a follow-up to what happened this past Easter... 'ABC ‘can’t bring themselves’ to say the word ‘Easter’' - #SkyNews Like they do with any other facts, history and evidence now, and calling it journalism. The constant push to take away our Western values should just stop! Why are we Celebrating Sexual orientation, not our traditional religious beliefs? Why are we being pushed by the woke agenda of minorities? allowing what we are and what we believe in to be pushed aside? Who is offended by Easter? Christmas? Chanuka? Ramadan? Why are the veteran marches offensive but Calling for Jihad in the street is not? We have been allowing this behaviour for too long and if we don't stop it now, what happens to our freedom of beliefs? No more Hot cross buns? easter eggs? That has Hot Cross the line! What's next? Wake up and say no more! #Easter #Vetrans #Wokeagenda #Freedomofreligion
