The role we as pharmaceutical companies play, beyond the provision of vital treatments, is so important to improving the lives of those living with the conditions we treat.
Whilst the provision of vital treatments is a core role there is so much more beyond this.
When it comes to living with a rare condition, there can be additional challenges to overcome. Many people have limited access to specialists, challenges with diagnosis and limited or no access to appropriate treatments and support. Accomplishing the necessary shift in the treatment and care of those affected by the estimated 7000 rare conditions requires strong partnerships, a shared goal and passion.
That is why working in partnership across the rare disease community is at our core. We know that developing a medicine is just one part of the jigsaw. Whether it’s about enhancing education, supporting empowered conversations, enabling access or raising more awareness of the rare conditions we treat – @ Sobi UK & RoI we work hard to partner with the community to support people living with rare conditions to live the life they want.
