DRIVING CHANGE – IMPACT e.V. is pleased to announce the launch of the IMPACT Aviation Climate Stocktake Forum (IMPACT Forum) on Dec 2 and 3, 2024, in #London! ✈ Our first IMPACT Forum, co-hosted by WTW, brings together decision-makers from industry, policymaking/regulation, financiers, leading scientists and representatives from NGOs to jointly assess the gaps between the actual status of aviation’s decarbonization and the objective of Net Zero by 2050. Our aim is to collaboratively explore and present tangible actions to close these gaps! 💪 📣 The IMPACT Forum will be by invitation only to foster high-quality interactions and meaningful exchanges among attendees. While available places are limited, we encourage interested individuals and organizations (including policymakers, researchers, financiers) to express their interest in participating. “It is an open secret that the decarbonization of the #aviation industry is not progressing at the required pace or scope. Visiting the German ANSP, DFS Deutsche Flugsicherung GmbH 🛫 More than 50 students from various aviation courses at Hochschule Worms took the chance to visit the company headquarters and the ATC centre in Langen 🛫 Special thanks to Oliver Pulcher and Angela Kies for valuable insights into the topics "The DFS Transformation Journey" and the challenges of integrating ATM / UTM 🛫 Thanks as well to Svenja Vor - we had the opportunity to visit the ATC centre in Langen. Very impressive! 🛫 A subsequent, very inspiring workshop was orchestrated by Jörg Buxbaum on "Technology and Teamwork in sync - How air traffic control works". All in all, it was a very rewarding excursion to Langen, which enabled our students to deepen their knowledge of air traffic management. It was great to be part of the Aviation Event in Chișinău as moderator of an expert panel.
