RESTORE PEOPLE-FOCUS IN UK HEALTHCARE The UK Government has been centralising public healthcare provision for decades, meaning that British People find it increasingly difficult to access hospitals. Centralised hubs are not People-Focused or Patient-Focused. Although there are many individual healthcare workers who do a great job, Government policy has failed them and failed ordinary Brits. Voting Independent would allow someone such as Dr Chan Abraham to become Secretary of State For Health & Social Care. Instead of someone that wanted to become a criminal barrister, became Minister for Women; someone appointed as Financial Secretary to the Treasury, before being appointed Secretary of State for Health in November 2023. Someone who states a goal of "making the NHS and our social care system simpler, faster and fairer." Qualifications for the role might not be important in Government; after all Jeremy Hunt is Chancellor of the Exchequer, seemingly without a track record in Finance. Perhaps it's time to have politicians in positions of government that truly understand the problems they are facing.
