ChatGPT Optimization - should you waste time on it? How would you even begin to accomplish it? Others may claim to have the answers, but here at HLM, we do our own research. 👉 Read the blog post at https://lnkd.in/gnR-faKU the post above is about our internal efforts to investigate the patterns and trends (or lack thereof), that may emerge as we ask ChatGPT two questions for 6 different industries, across 50 different U.S. markets, over a span of several months: 🤔 Question 1: What are the best [INSERT TYPE OF BUSINESS] located in [INSERT U.S. MARKET HERE] 🤔 Question 2: What sources did you use to compile and provide that list of best companies? It's no secret that people are using ChatGPT like they've traditionally used Google and other search engines. As HLM is in the business of helping businesses be found online, we're doing our own research to determine if, in the end, we see specific opportunities to act on certain things for clients to help them show up more often in ChatGPT and similar services. We're not done with our research, but here's some preliminary findings: 💡ChatGPT still heavily relies on good quality data from a businesses own website 💡When pushed, ChatGPT will cite that it relies on 3-5 industry-specific third-party websites when recommending businesses, such as Home Advisor or ZocDoc 💡ChatGPT isn't always consistent, and does still display some seemingly-random variability. Our hope is that we collect enough data over the coming months to discern helpful patterns or trends despite this occasional variability.
