Mumbai's PSA Becomes India's First Box Terminal to Run Completely on Renewable Energy 🚢 📰 PSA Mumbai has become India’s first container terminal fully powered by renewable energy, marking a significant milestone in its eco-friendly initiatives. The terminal, in collaboration with O2 Power, commissioned a 7.8MW solar farm, set to expand to 10MW by 2024. The farm is predicted to meet more than 75% of PSA Mumbai’s energy needs, with the balance coming from MSEDCL and other providers. The solar farm, situated in Beed and soon Motala in Maharashtra, will curtail the terminal’s CO2 equivalent emissions by an estimated 16,000 tonnes annually. PSA Mumbai is also focussing on other initiatives such as electrifying its equipment... 🏷️ #carbonemissions #Containerterminal #Electrification #EmissionsReduction #GreenTransportation #PortAuthority #PSAMumbai #PSAMumbai #RenewableEnergy #SmartPortTransformation #SmartPort #SolarFarm #SustainableSolutions 🔗 https://lnkd.in/evjqrmAv
