Q4 just kicked off. Are you chasing only the big goals? Or pausing to celebrate the small victories along the way? We often overlook the little victories in the rush to hit year-end targets. But here’s the truth: small wins drive momentum. They matter just as much as the endgame. 🎯 Celebrating small wins boosts morale. 🎯 It builds confidence. 🎯 It fuels motivation to tackle bigger goals. Share your wins with your team and your network. It’s not just a pat on the back; it creates visibility and strengthens connections. Don’t let small wins inflate your ego. Stay grounded and keep your eyes on the long-term goals. Celebrating isn’t about getting complacent; It’s about staying energized. As we move through Q4, remember: Your journey is as important as the destination. What’s your latest win worth celebrating?

Yesterday marked a pivotal moment in my journey to becoming an accredited Executive Coach through Meyler Campbell‘s Mastered Programme as we entered the second half of our program. It’s amazing how much the depth of our discussions has changed, allowing us to delve deeper into our learning experiences. I can scarcely believe that next year we too will be graduating as the 2024 cohort did last night. What I am particularly enjoying about coaching is the focus on supporting others in finding their own paths to success. It’s not about giving advice or sharing knowledge; it’s about providing leaders with a structured way of thinking that can help break down problems and accelerate development. That said, much of what I am learning relates to my personal journey towards becoming the leader that I aspire to be. I am convinced that in a world of rapid and disruptive change, a manager’s role can no longer be to direct and decide alone—we cannot have all the right answers. Leaders will succeed by drawing out the best in their teams, who will, in turn, learn to adapt and generate fresh, innovative ideas more quickly. So, a few observations from my journey so far: - Listening is the ultimate superpower 🦸. It allows others to feel fully seen and heard while also providing us with valuable insights. It’s also incredibly difficult. - Words, 📖 even chosen in haste, often uncover underlying truths. Clarifying and exploring these phrases can help us find new paths forward. - Learning is a lifelong journey. Changing behavior is challenging, but even small steps can lead to a more significant transformation. I’m grateful to my wonderful group (my fellow Vikings) for their support and shared wisdom on this adventure: Mark Carnegie-Brown, Tim Wakefield, Dominic Ely, Eva Sarma, Sophie Kent and our leaders Keith Krasny and Catherine Devitt For more on coaching as a leader, I recommend the HBR article—see the link below in the comments. #meylercampbell #leadership #vikings
Congratulations to our 2024 Graduates! Last night at Merchant Taylors' Company in London, we were joined by graduates of both the Meyler Campbell Mastered and Unlimited programme to congratulate them on their success and completion of the programme(s). They were surrounded by their family and friends, as well as fellow Meyler Campbell Alumni from previous years, and the Meyler Campbell Faculty team and management team. And a big thank you to our guest speaker David Morley who closed our Graduation ceremony so wonderfully. Once again, congratulations to all. Photographer: David Levenson

Had our monthly all-hands meeting last week, and it was great to catch up with the legends on our team. I might start opening those up to those in our Bullpen - our publicly-acknowledged group of folks that we don't have the volume of projects to be able to work with yet. They share their skillsets, and we bring them in when we have projects that align with their strengths. These folks are amazing. Also, they sit on top of the team of 90 that I am always talking about. If that knowledge strikes a "hey, there might be something we could do with that" thought, give me a call. I want to help these folks get paired with great projects/roles - inside Catapult Commercialization Services or not. And while we are figuring out the attributes (like skills, talents, experiences, and interests) of people, we also like to talk to clients about the attributes of their product that set them apart AND are being demanded by their target consumer. If you ever want insights into what your target consumer is purchasing and where, let us know - bit.ly/catapultserv.

Chief Economist, Award-Winning Author, Speaker, Florida 500: Florida's Most Influential Business Leaders
Congratulations to James Repenning and the whole team at R&R Head Labs, a new fair chance employer in Denver, staffed with justice-impacted professionals. Jamie is the former president of the Floyd's barbershop chain and knows a thing or two about the business. But he also knows that people in search of a Second Chance show incredible commitment and provide an exceptional customer experience. On a recent flight through Denver, I stopped by and got a great cut from store manager, Deb. I also bought a t-shirt designed by their justice-impacted, acclaimed artist in residence, Tuke DF Crew! If you are in Denver - go!

I love this from Candy Kittens. It's not often you see organisations celebrate their employees as they leave. What do you do for your employees at this stage? Does your contact end on their last day? Reflecting and rethinking every employee interaction and experience from attraction to alumni is a really interesting activity as you align your comms and processes to the culture you want to have. #employeeexperience #attractiontoalumni
A sad but sweet farewell to the wonderful Katie Hastilow 🍬 Katie joined us July 2023 as our first placement student in the role of Operations Exec. We’re incredibly sad to see her go, as she has become a huge part of the Candy Kittens team. From modeling in marketing shoots to assisting the sales team in rounding up orders, her contributions have been invaluable. She played a significant role in ensuring over 98% of our orders reached retailers on time. Her dedication included trips to suppliers and even a trip to Germany to understand how our sweets are made. She developed strong relationships with retailers, addressing order queries, and helping launch our new products, Wanderlust and Wild & Free. She also helped us set up on a new wholesale platform, Faire, and became an advocate of AI, launching a tool to speed up order processing. Katie has gone completely above and beyond during her time here. Thank you for your hard work and dedication. You will be greatly missed! 😿 😸
