Last week was the final week of Djangonaut Space Session 2 and it was a blast to be a Djangonaut! As a small reminder the goal of the program is to create more contributors to Django and it's wider ecosystem of packages. From my personal experience that has certainly been the case. During the last 8 weeks I have achieved the following: Become familiar with Trac, the issue tracking system for Django Claimed 3 tickets to work on Proposed a new change in the forum, which led to me opening a new ticket, which was accepted, then I worked on it myself. Opened 4 PRs, 3 of them are now merged. Have a contribution in Django 5.1 and will have more in 5.2. Contacted the DSF about a new working group idea. I call that a success my any measure and I look forward to contributing in future. The program was the motivation and encouragement to just get started, from the application form asking me to do the contributing tutorial, to the weekly calls where I wanted to have something to talk about and progress made. When applications for the next session get announced, I highly recommend anyone apply who wants to get more involved in Django. #100_words,#django,#djangonaut_space,#contribution,#mentoring https://lnkd.in/eZDU3KhU

Currently grappling with a challenge in Django Channels regarding multi-tenancy. While connections work smoothly on threads, transitioning to channels introduces event loops, leading to multiple processes operating on the same thread and causing potential race conditions when modifying tenants. Any insights, ideas, or assistance on resolving this would be greatly appreciated! #Django #Channels #MultiTenancy #ProgrammingChallenges

⭐⭐Understanding Interfaces in Go⭐⭐ I've been diving deep into #Golang interfaces . Following are my learnings What are interfaces? Interfaces in Go are like adapters for different types. They define a collection of methods that a type must have, without specifying how these methods should be implemented. If a type provides these methods, it can be used wherever the interface is expected. This allows diverse types to be treated uniformly, enabling a more flexible and modular code structure. I have briefly discussed the theory , code and code explanation on my #Github Link: https://lnkd.in/dRDsAUDN Here are some key takeaways: 👉 Implicit Implementation: Types don’t need to declare that they implement an interface; it happens automatically if the required methods are present. 👉Flexibility: Any type, in any package, can implement an interface as long as it provides the required methods. 👉Pointer vs. Value Receivers: The method receiver type matters. For instance, if a method with a pointer receiver is required, only pointers to that type satisfy the interface. Do give it a ⭐ if you like it and feedback appreciated. More topics to be included like 1. Empty interface 2. Nil Interface 3. Type Assertions #golang #webdevelopment #100daysofcode #90daysofcode #learninpublic #buildinpublic #web3

🚀 Excited to share my journey of building a calculator application using Typescript and Node.js! 🌟 🎓 During Ramadan coding nights, I learned from incredible instructors including Zia Khan, Ameen Alam, Okasha Aijaz, Daniyal Nagori, Asharib Ali, Muhammad Qasim, Mubashir Ali, Hamzah Syed, Muhammad Osama, Mannal Rana Their guidance was invaluable! 🔢 The calculator features basic arithmetic operations and a user-friendly command-line interface using Inquirer. It's now available on npm. You can easily install it using the command (npx s504-calculator) 💻 👉 Check out the GitHub repository to see the code and try it out yourself: GitHub repository link: https://lnkd.in/dqea6fp2 #RamadanCodingNights #CLI #GitHub #GovernorSindhInitiativeforGenAI,Web3,andMetaverse
