ED Infrastructure & Sustainability awards this honor to institutions that demonstrate progress in three key areas: reducing environmental impacts and costs, improving health and wellness, and providing effective environmental and sustainability education Marie Reed is a LEED Gold facility with sustainable features, such as bio-retention areas, a green roof, garden, and outdoor classroom spaces, that are used as teaching tools and inspiration for students to take an interest with environmental issues.
