𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗚𝗲𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗶𝗮 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗙𝗬 𝟮𝟯 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 🟩🟧🟩🟧 SFG is a collaborative statewide initiative dedicated to integrating research-based Protective Factors into services for families and children. During Fiscal Year 2023, SFG made significant progress by refreshing its strategic plan and evaluation efforts. The expansion efforts have resulted in 17 new partnerships, allowing SFG to extend the reach of the five Protective Factors through various family support programs. Through these initiatives and participation in key events, SFG continues to empower families and strengthen communities, creating a more resilient Georgia for future generations. Recently, we highlighted how over 93% of kids enrolled in YDI case management services thrive at home in their communities. But what happens when children need more intensive support? When a safe, structured environment is essential to their stability? The graphic above highlights a concerning trend: a nearly 1% rise in Montana kids receiving case management services being sent out of state for higher levels of care over the last year—underscoring the urgent need to enhance our in-state capacity. Residential treatment provided through therapeutic youth homes and PRTF campuses serves as a crucial safety net, offering the support kids need when they can't remain at home. But distance from loved ones adds an emotional weight, especially when children must travel out of state to access treatment. That's why, in partnership with Yellowstone Boys and Girls Ranch, we're committed to expanding resources for Montana's youth. By working together, we're bolstering our state's ability to keep kids close to home, surrounded by family and community. Stay tuned as we continue to share the progress of our collaboration with YBGR aimed at strengthening mental health care for Montanans. Together, we're building stronger foundations and a brighter future for our kids.

Navigating Medi-Cal to access vital developmental services for a child is often an overwhelming journey for families, marked by provider network inadequacies, long wait times, and a complicated early intervention delivery system. These challenges make it near impossible for families to access needed services in a timely matter, delaying critical early intervention and creating unnecessary stress and potential setbacks in a child's development.
