New Post: What kind of laptop do I have? - https://lnkd.in/gingU_bJ - Knowing what kind of laptop you have is essential for troubleshooting issues and finding the right support. Plus, when you know your exact laptop — and its specs — it’s easier to know what you might want out of your next laptop when it’s time to upgrade. You can often find your laptop’s model number on the underside of your laptop or the box, but if the writing has faded, or you don’t have the box, you can check your model number in your settings. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to locate this number in Windows or macOS. How to find your laptop model and specs in Windows Total Time 5 minutes What You Need Windows PC Step 1: Open the System Information tool Type “System Information” into your Windows search box at the bottom of your screen. Credit: Sarah Chaney Step 2: Locate your laptop’s model number When opening System Information, the tool should default to the System Summary menu selection. Find “System Model” under the Item column, and you’ll see your laptop’s model number to the right in the Value column. On this screen, you can also look at your “System SKU” to get more helpful information about your laptop model. Is a video chat with Santa too much to handle for your children? Well we have a special option for those more nervous children or those that find a live chat too stressful! Why not have a personalised video message straight from Santa? This is not a computerised creation; Santa will record a unique 5 to 8 minute video message, based on the information supplied about the child. You will be sent a list of questions to answer as well as the 'Letter to Santa' template for your child to fill out. The more information you can give Santa, the more magical it will be for your child. This option is only available up to the 20th December 2023. Please note: You do not need to have Zoom to use this option. Each video will be sent to you as an MP4 file, playable on all devices. [https://lnkd.in/ewzx5s_r)

"Ubuntu Contributionism – A Blueprint For Human Prosperity" by Michael Tellinger, ....presents a vision for a new social and economic system that moves away from the traditional capitalist model. Here are some key aspects of this "idea": 1. Ubuntu Philosophy: The concept is rooted in the African philosophy of 'Ubuntu', which translates to 'I am because we are.' This philosophy emphasizes community, cooperation, and mutual caring for all. 2. Contributionism: The central idea is Contributionism, where society is structured around each individual contributing their natural talents or acquired skills to the community. This replaces the concept of employment with active, meaningful participation in community life. 3. No Money System: Tellinger advocates for a world without money, where resources and goods are freely available to all. The belief is that removing monetary transactions would eliminate many of the systemic inequalities and corruptions inherent in current economic systems. 4. Resource-Based Economy: The proposed system is a resource-based economy, where resources are allocated based on need and availability rather than financial power. This aims to ensure that all basic needs, like food, shelter, and education, are met for everyone, without the need for exchange of money. 5. Decentralization of Power: The system advocates for the decentralization of power and decision-making. Local communities would have more control over their affairs, reducing the influence of central governments and large corporations. 6. Emphasis on Sustainability: There's a strong focus on sustainability and living in harmony with the environment. The idea is to create systems that are not just beneficial for humans but also for the planet. 7. Technology for Good: Technology is seen as a tool to improve living standards and reduce labor, not as a means for profit. In an Ubuntu society, technological advancements would be used to address fundamental human needs and environmental concerns. 8. Community Projects: Central to this system are community projects where members contribute their skills and labor for the benefit of all. These projects can range from agriculture, education, health, technology, and arts, tailored to the community’s needs and resources. 9. Transition Strategy: The book also discusses strategies for transitioning from our current societal structure to an Ubuntu society, recognizing that such a change would be complex and require gradual implementation. 10. Global and Local Impact: While the idea is global in its vision, it emphasizes starting at the local level, building community bonds and cooperative projects that can then expand and connect with other like-minded communities. When Łukasz Chmielewski, Piotr Szyperski, and I started AppStream Studio we all agreed that giving back to the tech community was going to be a key pillar we stood on. Our belief was simple. If we… Give more than we take. Deliver more value than our competitors. Do what we say we are going to do. Good things will happen. So here's to seeing some positive signals to get us through this Monday. #dotnet #azure #opensource
That Monday feeling when you realize your Open Source Project has crossed over 1,000 downloads. 🎉 📈
