We're proud to pedal for a good cause! 🚴
Our #GuelphON team once again rolled into the Tour de Guelph to help others, this time with 40 riders and over 20 volunteers.
Over the past decade, Tour de Guelph has become a major community event, raising significant funds for The Foundation of Guelph General Hospital and the Rotary Club of Guelph. Thank you to the organizers and our team for helping continue its success and spreading greater #wellbeing locally. 🌟🚴♀️

We had a little bit of bad news regarding funding for our summer holiday events today. The events will still go ahead but might not be as cheap or free as we would have liked 😞
However, if you know of any businesses/organisations or any one who might be able to donate a little something, maybe even sponsor an event, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE tag them below or sent them this Enthuse link.
Hate to beg but we want to help the community as much as possible!!
If you do wish to donate, select the amount or enter however much we wish to donate. The extra % tip, doesn't come to us, it goes to Enthuse. If you don't want to pay Enthuse, click other amount and enter 0.00.

How did a local community use prioritisation to identify where to spend donations!?
I visited a local community through a hostel
The hostel management were running a side project to raise funds
and help the local community with their jobs to be done;
such as replacing a roof
or increasing fresh water accessibility
They achieved this through voting with the local community as their prioritisation technique, shown below;
Which I thought was great to see a real world situation using prioritisation to identify where to spend their donations
Where have you seen prioritisation out in the real world? I'd love to hear in the comments?

What a way to start day 2 of #fiaconf2024 with Craig Pollard from Fundraising Radicals! Asking us to take a step back, question and explore how we as fundraisers fit into the social change ecosystem now and into the future. A conversation that needs to be continued!

🟢Helping schools save time, money & procrastination on marketing, engaging current parents & growing pupil numbers 🟣Delivering engaging Positive Social Media workshops for young people & parents.
What a fantastic way for a business to support the work that Positive Social does in schools. The impact of the social media workshops that we deliver in schools is incredible. Do you know a school/group of young people (or parents) that would benefit from these workshops, do let me know.
From experience, EVERY young person enters the classroom where I am ready to talk to them thinking they know everything about the social media platforms that they use.
Yet, EVERY young person leaves the classroom having learned something new about the social media platforms that they use (even though it's been delivered by a grey-haired lady MUCH older than them 🤣🤣).
If your business is interested in sponsoring or raising funds so that workshops can be delivered to schools, do get in touch.

I LOVE it when businesses get behind Positive Social!
The wonderful guys at SALCS Installations Ltd are supporting our work through its annual charity golf day.
The funds raised will help us provide sessions in schools. Our workshops help young people take back control of their lives from social media.

We only succeed if we work as a community!
I do not believe in individual success, just in community success…. And here is why: You cannot build something sustainable alone. You cannot go further if you go all alone. Here is a good example: Just a Change Project and RSCDS Project.
What’s the Just a Change Project? It is a charity company that focuses on the reconstruction of buildings for poor people. It’s a popular charity organisation among students and Youth. Why? Because their focus is to help people in need improve their houses.
Here is another example: the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society or RSCDS, is a good example of how community wins over individuals… So, what’s RSCDS? Is a non-profit organization that focuses on preserving the dance tradition of Scotland. Due to its foundation in the 50s to this day has gathered people around the world (From the Americas to all of Asia and Australia) to dance.
So let’s stop thinking individually and let’s start winning as a community.

Want a great way to "kill two birds with one stone"?
Innovative team-building activities can also be fabulous ways to bring together the community and contribute to charitable causes.
Need some ideas? How about organizing charity runs, participating in volunteer days, creating donation drives, collaborating on community projects, and hosting fundraising events!
By engaging in these activities, teams not only strengthen their bonds with each other but can also make a positive impact on the community.

Only three short years after our founding, Northwest CASA was incorporated on May 31, 1978. This year we are honoring 46 years of providing “official” community crisis services with a one-day campaign to raise $1,978. Help us meet our goal by gifting what you can. All money raised goes directly to supporting survivor services in your community.
