The first FDA-approved drug of 2024 has already been determined. It’s Berdazimer gel — a nitric oxide-releasing agent for the topical treatment of molluscum contagiosum. It was approved on January 5th and is suitable for adults and pediatric patients 1 year of age and older. Findings showed that the majority of patients treated with the gel achieved complete clearance of all treatable molluscum lesions at week 12.
