One easy way to give a compliment!!! Compliments can be as awkward as trying to hug a cactus, but , there are ways to navigate this compliment minefield with style and finesse! Let's face it, we all, including our clients and colleagues, love a good ego boost, wrapped in shiny, genuine packaging. But how do you deliver those sweet words of praise without sounding like a malfunctioning compliment-bot? One approach I've mastered is the "compliment relay race." You know, where you pass the praise baton to someone else to deliver. So instead of me telling you how fantastic you are, I'll recruit our mutual friend Steve to do the honors. It's like a stealth compliment delivery service! If I have to compliment A, I pass it thru B who is a close associate. This is how it goes. " A's root cause analysis is exceptional, isn't it?" " It is amazing how A always come up with innovative solutions?" " I wish A was my project manager. I admire her growth mind set" “ A is so quick to build a rapport, isn’t it”? And if you really want to make it easier, slip a compliment in under the radar by disguising it as a question. We're masters at using the third-party method when gossiping, but when it comes to dishing out compliments, we suddenly clam up. So, next time you're shy to serve up some sweet words of praise, just remember: there's always a clever "compliment relay race" way to sprinkle a little sunshine into someone's day, even if it means getting a little creative with your delivery method! Does the " compliment relay race" make sense?

Point yourself at the position. There are a dozen or more operations specialties. You have a talent or a desire to do one better than another. Go with what you love. There is a grab bag of skills and experience that you would need. You don't need them all to get into your field , but you will have to learn them all, and more , on the road to where you're going. First steps will be faulting, with lot of stumbling. You've pointed yourself. Don't stop. no matter what. One foot in front of another.

Useless at whistling, relentless with listening Stefan’s whistling can pop ear drums at 100 metres. It’s so piercing he could get a part-time job at Claire’s Accessories. But while Stefan might be tone-deaf, he’s all ears when it comes to putting together your personalised relentlessly resourceful records management. Whether you need bespoke delivery schedules, barcode tracking, or new data security measures, Stefan will listen to your needs and build you a service to match. Stefan’s whistling might be a danger to your hearing. But his ability to hear and solve your problems will be music to your ears. https://ow.ly/x5SM50Rzci5

One of many things I’ve learned from coach Dale Bierce’s Sandler training is I/R separation. It has changed how I see myself as a person and an employee. Let me explain: “I” is my identity. It is who I am 24/7 and will NEVER change- I am a Christian, a husband, a father, a grandfather, a provider, a helper, among other things. I score myself a 10 most days. “R” is my role. It is what I do 40-50 hours a week at work. I am employed by Bay Power, Inc. and my role is Branch Manager, and my responsibilities include managing sales and operations of the Fort Worth branch. I desire for my customers, vendors, employees and employer to perceive me as a 10, although some days I may perceive myself as only 3 due to a bad transaction, a missed deadline, a SOP that was not followed through etc. Here is where learning I/R separation saved my sanity. In the past, If I had a horrible day at work (my R) I used to go home thinking Jesse Mitchell (my I) was a 0 which only led me to acting like a 0 to my family. My Identity and Role were just one scrambled mess of head trash! Now, when I clock out, regardless of how my day at work went, my “R” is turned off and time for me to enjoy and appreciate my “I” as a 10. Having said that, The next day I clock in, I will acknowledge, assess and improve my behaviors, attitude and techniques to prevent having another bad day in my role, but never again will I let my role at work dictate my identity of who I am as an Individual. I sincerely hope this helps someone.

This one’s for all you bastards! My favorite South Park characters are Cartman, Randy and Butters. But if you were to ask any of the South Park characters who THEY consider to be the most reliable and upstanding - they’d probably answer that it’s Kenny. Why Kenny? He doesn’t say much. He’s down for anything. He puts others before himself and asks for nothing in return. He’s simple and honest. Funnily enough, the poor kid with no face or words is actually the one with the most social clout. There are some decent lessons to learn from Kenny when it comes to client relationships. Don’t be a blabbermouth. Don’t be too stuck up. Don’t expect anything from others, but be there for them regardless. Don’t be overly strategic. Keep it simple and be pure of heart. Sometimes it’s good to put your hood up and let actions speak for you. Don’t kill your inner Kenny you bastards!
