Key Responsibilities:
- Contract Management: Draft, review, and finalize contracts with suppliers, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
- Purchase Order Processing: Generate and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy in pricing, quantities, and delivery schedules.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Cultivate positive relationships with suppliers, serving as the primary contact for inquiries, negotiations, and issue resolution.
- Inventory Management: Collaborate on inventory control to optimize stock levels and replenishment processes.
- Cost Analysis and Budgeting: Analyze procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities and contribute to budget planning processes.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive process enhancements to streamline workflows and reduce costs.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with internal stakeholders across finance, operations, and legal to align procurement activities with organizational objectives.
Required Qualifications:
- Active Secret Clearance
- Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of government contracting experience
- Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR/DFAR/AFAR)
Desired Skills:
- Ability to think critically and analyze complex procurement data
- Experience with various contract types (IDIQ, FFP, FPI, Cost Plus)
- Knowledge of pre-award and post-award functions
- Familiarity with DD254 security requirements and contract deliverables tracking
Beneficial Systems Knowledge:
