Last week at MGC, we participated in Safe + Sound Week. This is a nationwide event held each August that recognizes the successes of workplace health and safety programs. Our team at McKenzie focused on Halt a Hazard, which included this 3-step practice: 1. Identify ONE hazard to control within your workplace. 2. Brainstorm potential controls. 3. Choose and implement which control(s) are most effective for your workplace. Our teams on Scottsdale ASR 54C and Beardsley focused on Safety is Our Right, including teaching the importance of following the guidelines: 1. Review workers’ rights information at osha.gov/workers. 2. Focus on workers’ rights at meetings and trainings. 3. Download a Safety is Our Right Challenge Coin (to reinforce you have made worker participation a core part of your safety and health program). By committing to these practices, we continue to uphold our dedication to creating a safer, healthier workplace for everyone at MGC.
