"🌟 Embracing the Balance: Artistry and Technology 🌟 In the world of architecture, my journey began with a passion for sketching. But as I delved deeper, the allure of architectural software grew stronger. It felt like a dilemma, a choice between tradition and modernity. From my academic journey, architectural software became indispensable to keep up with the evolving industry. In the process, I realized that my love for sketching had taken a back seat. Recently, I stumbled upon an eye-opening podcast hosted by #WSPanticipationpodcast featuring insights from Raj Patel, Andy Veall, and Gensler. It shed light on the eternal love for sketching and its problem-solving prowess in our ever-changing world. This podcast rekindled my passion for sketching and reminded me of the beauty it brings to architecture. It's a perfect blend of artistry and technology that makes our industry so unique. Thank you for sharing this incredible content, and I encourage all fellow architects and enthusiasts to give it a listen. Let's embrace the best of both worlds! #Architecture #Sketching #Design #Innovation #Passion" https://lnkd.in/dPZxP6Kt

Drawings✏️reveal a certain design intelligence. While there are many drawing types, the Lima-based architecture practice Barclay & Crousse has a particular affinity for sections. Sections show a building’s spatial structure, seen when the building is cut vertically along an axis, usually perpendicular to the horizontal plane. When used strategically, they can communicate the experience of the architecture – the interplay of solids and voids, connections between spaces, the relationship between the building and its surroundings, etc. Sandra Barclay, co-founder of Barclay & Crousse, explains more in this video. (Disclaimer: Parts of the video are blurry due to unforeseen technical issues) … What do you think?
